When she was still alive she was so attentive, empathetic and really listened to the patient. She stressed why blood lab work is so important in assisting a true diagnosis. RIP DR JELEN. I am so sorry you are no longer here. She was a good one. ????

Dr. Jelen is the only doctor who has prescribed a natural hormone that helps my low thyroid condition, and I'm very thankful for it. Since I have been going to her practice, I have more energy and feel better. Dr. Jelen is a good listener who shows how much she cares for her patients.

Dr. Betty Jelen is a wonderful endocrinologist. She listens carefully and analyzes the information I give her, like no other doctor. She is the only doctor who has prescribed the natural hormone my body assimilates and continues striving for the perfect dosage for my low thyroid condition.

I'm here for my follow up appointment with Doctor Jelen and I must say it's always a pleasure to come here. Betty has an excellent doctor/ patient relationship. As you see I referred to her as Betty. Dr. Jelen is in incredibly thorough doctor that I've enjoyed working with. You might have to wait a little bit for your appointment because she is very friendly and her knowledge of her specialty is very impressive. Last year Dr. Jelen's recommendation and persistence located a major blockage in my carotid artery requiring immediate surgery and literally saved my life. I'll be patient.

I have read all the negative posting here before I made an appointment to see Dr. Betty Jelen. ALL the negative POSTINGS are from disgruntled loser patients. Dr. Jelen is extremely season Endocrinologist who is filling a VOID in the under serve community. She is doing her upmost best with the resources she has available to her. Dr. Jelen treated me and changed my life for the better. The people who have made these false and misleading complaints here should see how you are get treated in Beverly Hills with Medi-Cal Insurance. Those doctors will not even give you an appointment...LOL! You are all ungrateful to have a least the Affordable Care Act insurance. See if you can get an appointment in Beverly Hills with an Endocrinologist with Medi-Cal, before making a complaint. Dr. Jelen's office see everybody with no bias. The negative feedback is only from a small number of patients. Dr. Jelen has a large practice...she is very busy helping those who want help.

This doctor is a godsend. She is the first FEMALE endocrinologist to listen to me and my ailments. Before Dr Jellen, I had seen a series of endocrinologist at the county hospital who for the past three years never ran any tests on me to confirm my diagnosis. I've asked for blood work, thyroid check, hormone checks, ultrasound work but these male doctors wouldn't listen to me. In fact they even reduced my medication with no explanation other than "less is better" - Dr Jellen listened to me when I explained my reactions to the change in dosage and didn't belittle me with my knowledge of my ailment, unlike the other doctors. I had no problems with my medications being faxed over, if anything CVS pharmacy is the one that misplaced my prescription which the nurses at Dr Jellens office were quick to remedy. My wait time was about 2.5 hrs but that's nothing compared to what I used to wait at the main county hospital, over 5 hours. I highly recommend parking in the neighborhood as meter parking is only 1hr on 1st street. The staff is courteous and professional. I was a bit hesitant about this clinic from reading these reviews but I can tell you first hand, if you come in with a bad attitude and no patience - well, you're in for a reality check.

I was recommended to see Dr.Jelen by a friend. I had 12.6 HgA1C. It is very high. Dr.Jelen motivational speech paid off.In 3 months my HgA1C was down to 6.3. I followed her recommendations. I lost 20 pounds as well. She is a great doctor!

Dr. Jelen saved my life. I followed he advice and I lowered my blood sugar and feel really healthy now. 4 stars!
