I would give 0 stars if it were possible. I have been through hell and back a dozen of times and all I needed was a reliable psychiatrist. They've cancelled appointment after appointment. While I was on homebound trying to go back to school they cancelled ANOTHER appointment and I was forced to go back to school without medication or being able to talk with a therapist. I ended up having to go back on homebound for the rest of my senior year, which resulted in me not attending any important high school events (prom, senior service day, etc..) They finally got me another appointment after my 18th birthday, when there, they basically talked very briefly about recent traumatic events and then started me on Prozac. My prozac made me for one have several mental breakdowns within the first 3 weeks, and then on top of that it made me extremely nauseous to the point I was vomiting multiple times a day, I dropped like 10 pounds. I finally worked up the courage to return to school for my graduation practice, the first one was inside and it went great! The following monday was my graduation day, and in the morning we had practice outside. Little did I know, prozac has a rare side effect of sun sensitivity. I passed out and was vomiting, a security guard put me on a wheelchair and brought me inside to the nurse, and I was sent home(they told me I was still allowed to walk). Later that day, after taking a nap, I felt a little better and decided to drive to wawa, and ended up passing out behind the wheel, after that, I decided it would be best to not walk in my graduation in fear of making a fool out of myself by throwing up, and/or passing out in front of a couple thousand people. After all this I decided to stop taking my Prozac. In attempt of getting in contact with my psychiatrist, they told my mother my doctor was LEAVING THE PRACTICE and they needed to push back my appointment further. This is not the first time this has happened and I will never go back to Ocean Mental Health, and I recommend to anyone who takes mental health as seriously as I do to never go here either.
