Dana Chidekel, PhD has been a colleague of mine for nearly two decades.  I am so grateful to have such a consummate professional like Dr. Chidekel to refer to for Neuropsychological Assessment and Consultation.  Dr. Chidekel is not only a keen diagnostician but she is extremely well-respected by her peers and the community at large.  To compliment her busy private practice as a Neuropsychologist, she maintains an active presence in the professional and educational community by delivering well-researched, relevant presentations, along with publishing books and articles about what educators, therapists, and  parents need and want to know. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting or working with Dr. Chidekel will undoubtedly speak to her unwavering high standards, ethics, morals and principles not to mention how personable and approachable she is.It takes someone with the qualities Dr. Chidekel possesses to do the very important work of a Neuropsychologist.  Someone who is seeking testing services is embarking on a brave journey that includes the honest divulging and understanding of personal information.  This carefully gathered sensitive information helps Dr. Chidekel to understand and formulate a treatment plan regarding what's going on with an individuals learning skills, abilities and behavior.   It can be difficult to face results sometimes but Dr Chidekel guides parents and children through the process with expertise and heart-felt kindness. I rely on feedback from families when I refer them to another professional and without exception families consistently report back about what a positive experience they have had while under Dr. Chidekel's care and guidance.  Consequently, with great certainty and no hesitation I will continue to refer my students and their families to Dr. Chidekel for thorough, comprehensive neuropsychological assessments.

If you are looking for an experienced, ethical, excellent neuropsychologist I highly recommend Dr. Chidekel! I have used her services for several years and have found her to be thoughtful, extremely intelligent, thorough, and sensitive.  She really takes time to understand all of the issues and she doesn't shy away from giving people feedback that is often hard for them to hear.  I have heard nothing positive feedback from everyone that I know who has worked with her - clients and professionals alike!  She is always at the top of my list when referring someone for an assessment.

Dr. Chidekel is fabulous! She has helped many students and families at Westmark and has even spoken here gratis just to be of service to the broader community! She is an amazing Neuropsychologist who has helped children and adults in so many ways such as finding the right school, identifying their learning issues accurately, and counseling the families. She is too stubborn to truly understand the needs of her patients. My experience with her was traumatizing

I'm using a new yelp account to protect my child.In 2012 my child was tested by Dana. He was having learning issues. Her testing results were really scary. She told us our child would be at worst, dead. Best case, in jail or living at home. He had NO behavioral issues. Well, we freaked out and spent at least 20k in specialists, re-testing and dealing with her fear. Within a year, everything she said was disproven by others. But it was a year of just dealing with her awful work. She is just the worst. I feel sorry for anyone who has to go through this. Just to be clear, he NEVER had a behavioral issue. I can tell you now 7 years later, my kid is a "A" student at the hardest private school in LA. He's on his way to a Ivy college. He had no issues in 7 years. Please keep away from Dana

I wasn't going to leave a review because I don't tend to give a review on yelp. Then I watched her youtube video that "explains" why people give bad reviews to her on yelp. It's because they are angry or don't like the diagnosis she gave, etc. That's right. She takes no responsibility for her unethical behavior but instead blames her vulnerable patients and their families. Dr Chidakel I will never forget how you treated our family. You were cold and unempathic and unethical. You changed your report to fit with what the school district wanted. My child was your client. But so was the school district and you had a conflict of interest.  In the middle of the IEP you turned on us. There was nothing subtle about it.
