I don't write reviews typically, but I have to rave about Dr. McCarthy. I broke my wrist out of state in Sept 2018. I was self-pay/uninsured at the time, so when I returned to Ohio to find some orthopedic help, I was met with either dead ends, and arrogant specialist. The 3rd doctor I saw was Dr. McCarthy (based on a recommendation for the Hand and Microsurgery Associate office) and I immediately felt that he had my back. I am so grateful for his support and level of realness that I can't seem to find anywhere else in the medical field. He was able to perform my surgery within a couple days, and it went great. A few months later, my boyfriend broke his finger and I insisted that he go see Dr. McCarthy, which he did, and was treated with the same level of realness and respect. Thankfully, no surgery was necessary and he was given instructions on how to care for his poor pinky. He is a quintessential representation of what we all hope a doctor should be like, but can't find.

Dr. McCarthy is an outstanding surgeon. We are an active sports family and unfortunately have seen our share of physicians/surgeons. Dr. McCarthy took wonderful care of my son, which ultimately led him to have a quick and great outcome.

I had a very good experience with Dr. McCarthy. he & his staff did an excellent job with everything related to my injury & was very happy with my experience. id recommend him to anyone.

Dr. McCarthy took his time to explain my diagnosis and treatment options. He answered all of my questions with detail. He gave me a good foundation to decide my treatment.

Dr. McCarthy's in depth image review found the source of my issues, and his treatment has helped me tremendously, especially with everyday life. Thank you New Jersey Spine and Orthopedic!

Dr McCarthy did a fantastic job with my surgery. His staff is extremely kind and welcoming. I appreciated his detailed communication and concern for my needs. My general doctor highly recommended him because he operated on her son, I now know why.

I would never recommend working with Dr. McCarthy or his staff. The entire experience from start to finish was deplorable at best. They were off 30 minutes on the schedule they booked for my appointment, and then he showed up to the appointment almost 2 hours late. Then to make matters worse, he over billed and refused to make an adjustment. He even had the audacity after telling me I was fine, to schedule a follow up to ensure that what he already told me was accurate. DO NOT SEE THIS PHYSICIAN
