Having multiple health conditions, I have seen many doctors, and Dr. Richardson is one of the best I have seen. He is caring, patient, knowledgeable, and has excellent bedside manners. He is a good listener and he answered all of my questions, and I didn't feel rushed. I broke my metatarsal in my foot and was given a few options from Dr. Richardson, but we decided on the non-surgical approach. Due to my health, the healing of my fracture was delayed, but Dr. Richardson was with me every step (no pun intended!) of the way to make sure it completely healed. I am back on my two feet again thanks to Dr. Richardson!

I am so pleased to know and really happy the service that Dr. Richardson provided to my daughter. His team at Orthopedic in St. Jude Fullerton are so kind and give the outstanding services to my daughter. Today we went there to change her cast, and Nurse Nikki make her cast so cute with pink colors and 3 little Mickey's as an accessory. The last time Nurse Amanda was so kind and take her time wrap her right fractured ankle. My daughter is a special need and had someone to take their time and understanding her disability a huge plus. I ruptured my Achilles playing soccer and was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Richardson for repair. Dr. Richardson went over the options available to me; he answered all of our questions regarding surgery, physical therapy, and injury recovery with a candidness that was refreshing to hear from a medical professional. The information he provided allowed me to confidently choose the option that worked best for my lifestyle and future exercise goals. I chose to have surgery for my achilles repair. The surgery went amazing! It took a couple hours, I woke up quickly, and my incision was small. A few months post-op and my incision is barely visible. My overall experience with Dr. Richardson has been wonderful! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for an Orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Richardson was called in due to his expertise to perform surgery on my Calcanious that was broken on half. He was incredible and I was snowboarding in record time. He took time to discuss the procedure and progress at every step of the way. I would highly recommend that you fight to get him as your surgeon if needed!

Great Doctor very personable Like Family He'll address the issue, tell you the things you need, tell you how to care for a wound issue and give you the few things for that care. I recommend him to any & everyone as your go to doctor for treatment. Doctor Richard had to perform Surgery Amputation on my MOMs left leg above the knee, he had to do what he did to save her from gangrene, it really looks great. My mom like him a lot, so now he like a brother to me.

My husband was injured from a fall off a ladder. He shattered his calcaneous (heel) and required a metal plate and pins. Dr Richardson performed the 5 hour surgery and just a little over a year later my husband is snowboarding again! Surfing is next but just wanted to Thank him for an amazing job he did. He is top notch surgeon and a very caring person.

Where to start with Dr Richardson?! This man's orthopedic skills are simply amazing! I suffered a very traumatic TIb/Fib compound fracture due to a skateboard injury. My injury occurred in Utah. A very nice Ortho surgeon in Utah started my treatment and he decided that I needed to travel back to Orange County and find "an experienced trauma surgeon" because my break was so bad. I was referred to Newport Ortho and a very reputable surgeon. However, this surgeon also thought my injury was far too bad for him to treat. At that point I had thought I may loose my foot. I was terrified! He asked if I would consider seeing his associate, Dr Damien Richardson. Within 1 minute of meeting Dr Richardson and hearing his confidence that he could repair my leg, I was sold! Dr. Richardson is a great guy. He is a straight-shooter and told me the way it was. We needed to "salvage my limb" and that is what he did. I appreciated that after going through two other surgeons that didn't want to take on my case. His experience with professional sports injuries also made me feel more comfortable to hire him. He was honest, conservative with my care and had a great bedside manner. He always has time during our appointments to answer all of my questions in detail. I'm happy to say that miraculously one year later, My ankle/leg are almost operating as if I had never been injured. The work he did, including multiple plates/ screws etc., was like art. It was so complexed; I'm amazed that someone could have so much skill to be able to piece me back together and have it work normally after only 10 months. The man is amazing! I will forever be in debt to him and I would refer anyone and everyone to utilize his abilities! I walk normally, have since been hiking, biking and surfing. I have also retired the skateboard at age 45. Funny, I was told that Ortho surgeons make their living from the skateboard. Be careful out there....if you're not, call Richardson. He'll patch you up! I am far too old to be riding a skateboard at 45 and have since retired my wheels.

Dr. Richardson is a dream come true. We interviewed several before deciding on him and it was the best decision ever. Not only is he very qualified but his bedside manner is perfection. He took a challenging case and the outcome could not have turned out better. Highly recommend to anyone who has orthopedic issues with the leg or feet.

Dr. Richardson diagnosed a stress fracture that two other medical facilities missed. He was extremely thorough and very warm. Highly recommend.
