My son requested his past medical records to be requested in July it is now mid october. They kept saying they don't have them. He gave permission for me to speak with them and I spoke to the medical records clerk and told her that I know he put in the request. She said she does recall the conversation but doesn't see anything for him. Since covid, they only require verbal requests and not written. I gave her all of his past medical history and asked that the psychiatrist on his case, give me a call. She still hasn't called and it's been over 3 weeks. My husband put him on his insurance so that he could get the help he needs but this place is obviously not really concerned about putting patient's first. Even with me informing them of present and past issues and current major depression, they neglect to treat him. It is medical negligence and I'm in the process of looking into what they have billed insurance for since the only thing they have done is speak to him via phone once a month and put him on 2 medications of which neither have helped. If they would get his medical records, they would understand the issue but that's obviously too much for them. I am aware of the stance on the broke mental health system, but we can do better than this. I don't recommend anyone with family members in need of timely help turning to them. Sometimes, timelines is important and I can't think of any other field that it's more important in.
