I was hospitalized at West Jefferson for lung cancer surgery. In the two days after discharge I had to be readmitted for infection with pleural fluid in my right lung. This hospital born infection was worse than the original surgery. Dr. Murthy saw me the first day and diagnosed me with a Strep infection with three different organisms. She started medications immediately and adjusted the regimen when sensitivities were available. Because of her rapid, through evaluation and accurate diagnosis, I am fully treated and recovered. I saw Dr. Murthy in the hospital so I will not be able to rate her office.

Dr. Deepthi Murthy isa great diagnostician. Having visited 2 dermatologist, 2 hand surgeons and a MOHS surgeon- Dr Murthy was the only one smart enough to do a CULTURE and not another biopsy. After 6 months now that I have the correct diagnosis, I am on the mend with treatment for a bacterial infection. She worked with a medical team including the wonderful hand surgeon Kearny Robert and others to make sure we were all on the same page. She is also a great communicator.

She not only saved my husband's life, she also took great care to explain every aspect of his care and treatment, even when it did not pertain to her direct treatment. She would explain other healthcare providers course of treatment, when they were deficient in the explanation. She was thorough, caring and detailed. Again, she saved his life when other doctors could not figure out why he was dying. May God bless her always.

Dr. Murthy does not compare to any other doctor we met during our most recent hospital stay. She goes above and beyond to properly diagnose her patients and treat them as thoroughly as possible. She is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and proactive.

Don’t go to this doctor This doctor did not respect my primary care physician’s diagnosis, or that I was referred to her. She loudly argued that my condition doesn’t even exist. I had to see a different specialist to finally receive proper care.
