Dr Wetzler scheduled a colonoscopy for my young son. When we came in for the procedure, she asked if he had a bowel movement and I said no. They had given him laxatives and they didn’t work. She then proceeded with the scheduled colonoscopy. After the colonoscopy, which is under general anesthesia, she told me she couldn’t identify the issue because he didn’t have a bowel movement so the colon wasn’t clear enough to see anything. This is a case of serious malpractice. She knew before starting the colonoscopy that there was no bowel movement. I gave her uninformed consent for the procedure. She didn’t tell me before the procedure that if there’s no bowel movement the colonoscopy will be useless. She went forward with the scheduled colonoscopy because she gets paid over $2,000 per colonoscopy and she’s didn’t want to lose the scheduled spot.I thought it would be too hard to sue her for malpractice. But letting people know with this review that she is an unsafe provider. Dr Levine in Manhattan is much better. Most important, read the bestseller book by Dr Greger called ‘How Not to Die’ and he has a chapter in GI health and what foods reverse GI issues naturally.
