JACOB LEBAS

I moved to Texas from SC about 3 years ago. We have taken our 4 children to a few different pediatricians that were ok. It was really hard to find one we really loved. The first time we met Dr. LeBas we knew he was the doctor for our kids. He has a great personality. He listens to your concerns and goes above and beyond to help with whatever he can. I couldn't say enough good things about him and how grateful we are that we found him.

Always takes time with all of his patients. Would recommend

Dr. LeBas is very attentive, personable and great with kids and parents. Made us all feel very comfortable.

Dr. Lebas might be fine with small children, but he isn't good with teenagers. He misdiagnosed my son -- tested for a chronic illness based on symptoms he'd had for 2 weeks. Labs came back negative so he said it was a virus. In the meantime, symptoms worsened and son missed a lot of school. The nurses had no suggestions except OTC products. Finally, I asked for a referral to a specialist who immediately diagnosed the condition and prescribed antibiotics. Dr. Lebas was a new doctor at the time so maybe he's gotten better at diagnosing illnesses. But I still wouldn't take a teenager to see him.

After seeing Dr. LeBas for a test, we collected and submitted a sample. After 14 days we called to ask why results had not been posted. We were told that the sample hadn't been sufficient, but the lab confirmed that there was a sufficient sample and that results had been provided to the doctor. There was much more back-and-forth, and the behavior of Dr. LeBas and his staff has been both frustrating and inconclusive. To this day, we have not received (but were billed for) test results. Ugh!!

Misdiagnosed child's illness and did no follow-up after lab tests. Had to ask for referral to specialist after 3 weeks of worsening symptoms. Would not recommend.
