He sounds like a smart G.I. to me he is doing everything G.I. should I have seen many G.I.s for about 7ish years now trying to get my G.I. issues under control he knows that we need to do scopes to see whats going on he also knows that Anxiety has a huge role to play in IBS so the people commenting 1 star that are having panic attacks everyday of course you have medical problems and he doesnt handle psychological problems because he is a G.I. mate bunch of haters the doc is quick and efficient as far as I know.

During the Covid Pandemic I became sick with stomach problems gastritis throat irritation and dry coughing. My primary physician recommended Dr. Shin. The office staff were nice professional and helpful. They set up a telephone appointment. I knew right away as I was speaking to Dr. Shin he was a very knowledgeable and intelligent doctor he was familiar with my issues and asked questions appropriately. He was nice listened to me attentively and was patient. In working with his staff Adriana scheduled my colonoscopy and endoscopy and she was excellent to work with instructions were helpful and I had no issues with any of the staff. The surgical staff at Casa Colina Surgical Center spoke positively about Dr. Shin they liked him and thought he was an excellent doctor. My procedures went well. I have read the reviews complaining about bedside manner. This was not the case for me. I know that he is bright skilled and experienced. I easily recommend him to family and friends

My primary care physician recommended Dr. Shin. The office staff were very nice, professional and helpful. They set up a telephone appointment and that was my first meeting with Dr. Shin. I knew right away as I was speaking to him, he was a very knowledgeable and intelligent doctor, he was very familiar with my issues, and asked questions appropriately. He was nice on the phone, listened to me attentively, and was patient.  In working with his staff, Adriana scheduled my colonoscopy and endoscopy and she was excellent to work with, instructions were helpful, and I had no issues with any of the staff. My procedures were canceled due to Covid, the facility wasn't quite ready yet with the new Covid guidelines and I was rescheduled. The surgical staff at Casa Colina Surgical Center spoke very positively about Dr. Shin and I could tell they liked him and thought he was an excellent doctor. My procedures went well and were problem free. I have read the reviews of this doctor complaining about bedside manner. This was not the case for me. I know that he is bright, skilled, experienced, came highly recommended and his surgical staff like working with him. That tells me a lot, that's the kind of doctor I want and will easily recommend him to my family and friends.

Dr. shin is very patient, and knowledgeable in his field. He uses great care in easing patients fears and answering all their questions regarding their concerns. So yes, I would highly recommend Dr. shin. Wandah

Maybe he doesn't have a bed side manner . He is a smart Doctor 26 years of experience! His whole staff was great, he was always on time and my procedure went perfect. The hospital and nurses at Fountain Valley were so sweet and do have a bed side manner . I'll see him again in 10 years and tell all my friends and family about Dr Shin.

He was professional, staff courtesy. I have no problem referring him.

Some reviews I read state that Dr. Shin gave them minimal time, about 2-3 minutes of his time (in at least one review). Well, they must be teacher's pets because I got a whole 45 seconds. I asked his nurse to have him come back for follow up question. He returned to my bed and gave me another 35 seconds. However, he didn't seem rude, but definitely giving me the bum's rush.

I read all these reviews before seeing Dr. Shin, but I thought "how can he mess up test results?" I had been throwing up blood, having diarrhea and nausea and severe pain on the right side of my stomach for months. He ordered me a colonoscopy and said everything was normal. I had to beg him for a endoscopy because my symptoms were getting worse. When I told him that I'm still having those issues, he said "it can't be, nothing's wrong. He finally agreed to an endoscopy... told me the wrong diagnosis over the phone. When I got the results it said I had 3 different issues going on. I called him back and he told me to "take Pepcid AC" I'm beyond frustrated and still seriously sick.
