Jeffrey L. Zitsman

Dr. Zitsman saved our daughter's life. She was born with stenosis of the intestine (2 1/2 inches of her intestine were solid) and she was unable to eat or go to the bathroom or pass the meconium. Less than 24 hours after giving birth Dr. Zitsman along with the Northern Westchester Hospital NICU team met with me and my husband and explained our options. He was nothing but informative and assuring. What seemed to be a lifetime, after 7 or so hours of surgery our daughter was "fixed" there were no issues to worry about in the future. Today, our daughter is 19 years old, a Division 1 lacrosse player at the College of The Holy Cross, and an amazing human being. Every day that we look at or speak with our daughter we thankful for Dr. Zitsman. In my opinion, Dr. Zitsman wears a cape and a halo at the same time. Laura and Nick Giardina, Westchester NY

WE FOUND INGUINAL HERNIA IN MY ONE MONTH DAUGHTER ACCIDENTALLY. HE SAW US IMMEDIATELY AFTER SONOGRAM AND ADDED US ON THE SCHEDULE WITHIN 3 DAYS. VERY CARING, THOUGHTFUL, AND THOROUGH DOCTOR. SURGERY WAS DONE WITHIN 30 MINUTES, CANNOT EVEN SEE A SCAR NOW.

The best of the best...

Doctor was apparently out to lunch while patients waited. After 45 minutes waiting, walked through the front door. After a very quick consult, we were referred for an ultrasound. After a week of hearing nothing, I left a message - and have never heard back.

Terrible customer service. Waited 45 minutes for our appt - while he was out to lunch?! No follow up whatsoever despite leaving messages with his office. Time to retire!

I took my son to Dr. Zitsman because he had a cyst above his tailbone. After seeing him 2-3 times he told us there wasn't anything he could do until we shaved the area and kept it clean. He made me feel so stupid. I finally took him to my Dermatologist who couldn't believe there was nothing done. She referred me to a surgeon who was shocked nothing was done. It was a very common pilonidal cyst. It ended up being very large and was surgically removed. He is finally recovered. I am so mad at myself for wasting so much time with Dr. Zitsman.

Very disappointed. Made an appointment and was told that day he is on call. Told me I will have to wait over an hour to be seen. I was only told this when I got here. He was not nice about it either.
