Jess LaVerne Lyon

I had Dr Lyon help me about 7 years ago with some kidney stones and he was extremely helpful in having me see a specialist the next day. I saw the specialist that day and had surgery that day. I could have died if I had not seen Dr. Lyon. I am here today at urgent care and am seeing Dr. Lyon about another issue and I am sure he will figure this out as well.

My son visited Dr. Lyon today. He was so impressed with his knowledge and warmth. He is not at all arrogant or condescending. He is a great asset to Cox Hospital Urgent Care.

Very friendly and professional. Took care of my problem with great care and consideration for my comfort.

I’ve dealt with chronic pain for basically my entire life, but x-rays and labs always come back normal. I was told fibromyalgia and treated like a drug seeker. I went in defeated, in pain, and full of anxiety. The words “it’s ok. I believe you.” took years and years of frustration and confusion off my shoulders.

I was at Cox Urgent Care for a migraine I couldn't get rid of, and Dr. Lyon was responsive and courteous. The nurse spoke loudly, sucked snot down his throat, would let an hour lapse between checks, and required every light on in the room each time he entered. Dr. Lyon, on the other hand, was sympathetic to my symptoms and did his best to keep me comfortable until meds began working. I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again, as needed, in the future.

My husband saw Dr. Lyon in the UC at Cox for upper abdomen pain. Dr. Lyon was very compassionate and didn't take the easy way out- he kept ordering tests until a diagnosis was found. He delivered the hardest news we've ever heard with kindness and great patience as we asked questions. He gave us options and helped direct us in our next step for care.

Really good guy nice polite and tells it how it is.Non judgmental listen to me.Gave real good advice and was caring about my situation.I felt better about having to go get help after talking with DR Lyon.Even my daughter was impressed by him and his kindness to us.
