Ive been going to Dr. McGowan for 3 years now. He is Straight Forward, Very Knowledgeable, and I’ve enjoyed his Professionalism and Character on Every Visit/Appt. My husband was treated by Dr. McGowan surgically and follow up care afterward. Husbands case was unique as a heart problem and his cancer were diagnosed at the same time. Dealing with 2 specialists was difficult enough but the professionalism, caring, treatment and the attention to detail was astounding. We highly recommend Dr. McGowan for any urology medical or surgically needs.

Easy to get here

My primary care physician referred me to Dr. McGowan for a vasectomy. It was easy to get an appointment and I had the surgery done 2 days after Christmas. I arrived at 10am and I was out by 10.50am. He offered a prescription for pain but I never got it filled, taking a total of 6 ibuprofen over a two week period with nothing but the most minor discomfort when I sat wrong. He and his assistant had a good sense of humor and I was relaxed throughout the procedure thanks to their excellent bedsi

I had the best experience at this office today. The young woman on the front desk was kind and helpful. Angel, Dr. McGowan's med tech, was competent and engaging. When Dr. McGowan arrived at the appointed time, he was attentive and interested in hearing me say what I already knew about my condition. He spent an appropriate amount of time with me (20 minutes) and could not have been nicer. I'm sorry I didn't get his nurse's name, but she was wonderful as well. I checked out, and the woman who helped me was efficient and friendly. We will see what the kidney ultra sound brings in a few weeks, but I look forward to another pleasant experience. My appointment was at 8:30, so perhaps scheduling early is better in order to have the best experience.

Had as pleasant of an experience as one can have visiting a urologist. He was personable and seemed competent.

I have been a patient for a very long time and I honestly think he has given up on me. He definitely does not have the patients and does not spend the time with me that he use too. It sorta makes me sad. But he is a excellent doctor.

I am now 71. Started with this doctor at age 69. This doctor is all that I could ask for. He took care with swift action my terrible painful kidney stones with much needed surgery on the same day they stated. 100% success. He is also my doctor keeping a keen eye on my prostrate issues. His test and procedures on this issue let me sleep good at night. He takes as much time with me as needed and always has a very positive attitude. I leave his office with confidence and feeling good. This fellow is good period.
