Unfortunately I was unimpressed with Dr. Escarcha when I took my 8 month old to see her. She has decent bedside manner with my son but I don't forsee us going back to her for the following reasons: 1. After walking into the room and asking 'where he was born' and 'who was his previous MD' she then looked up at us and asked, "Him? It's a boy, right?" 2. While discussing milestones I felt a bit "mom-shamed" when she said, "At this age he should be picking things up with two fingers." From all my research, babies progress at different times and for a 8 month old who is hitting all other milestones I felt that harping on this one was a bit unnecessary. 3. Finally when she was walking out after the visit she turned and asked if I wanted fluoride for his teeth. I responded "No it's okay. He only has two teeth anyways." She then turned and left the room wordlessly. I felt like it was an "upsell" moment because she didn't take the time to explain of it was really needed or not. Ultimately,
