Makrouhi A Kademian

I saw Dr. Kademian while I was in treatment in California for substance abuse and eating disorders. I came from Illinois where they diagnosed me with IBS for my severe reoccuring symptoms/complications (while I was in and out of the emergency room and bed ridden for days/weeks at a time, unble to eat or have bowel movements) and they continuously prescribed medications to mask symptoms. Dr. Kademian was very knowledgeable and listened to my frustrations, giving me the benefit of the doubt that it could be more. I had reoccuring bowel obstructions also and she suggested to take out some of the bowel--when she went in to remove some, she found the entire colon was a toxic megacolon (very rare) and removed all of it, reattaching the small intestines to rectum with NO OSTOMY BAG! That was about 6-7 years ago now. Although I still have some difficulties with digestion, nothing like the pain and complications I had to endure for so many years before a physician such as Kademian who was willing to do more based on my specific needs as a patient and not treat me the same as every other patient do the bare minimum to mask symptoms. She truly wanted to help improve my quality of life and she absolutely did just that.

Love everything about her. Great bedside manner, great communication, successful surgical outcome, and attractive. What's not to like? ;)

Dr Kademian is one of the most wonderful doctors and people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my 80 years of life. I think she is highly competent, very good at communicating, honest and compassionate. She is everything a doctor should be.

My appointment was at 9:15 AM and I was called in at exactly 9:15! That has never happened with me! She certainly took her time for an upcoming hernia surgery questions and put me at ease instantly! Very impressed!

Dr. Kademian is amazing! She performed several lumpectomies over the years as well as a double mastectomy. Every surgery was done well and the care she provided was thorough and top notch. She has a great bedside manner and provides all the information needed to make informed decisions about your care. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great surgeon to handle their care.

Had perirectal surgery in July with Dr Kademian. She is extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable beyond general surgery. Healing was super fast, absolutely NO pain at all and there should have been some pain but I had none. Stubbing a toe or burning the roof of your mouth with hot soup is far far worse pain. The whole end to end process was a fantastic service and she really understands your needs beyond medical as it relates to aftercare and time off work. I highly recommend her.

She is an excellent surgeon recommended by my internist. She performed emergency surgery on me after an intestinal leak into my abdominal area. She made sure everything was functioning properly before she released me from the hospital, even though the insurance company wanted me to leave the sooner. She did a colostomy at the time which my visiting nurse said was the best Sophie had seen and then several months later did the reverse procedure. She is a compassionate and excellent surgeon
