I had a deeply disappointing encounter with Dr. Matthew Eskridge, MD. Unfortunately, I found him to be judgmental, uncaring, obnoxious, and even abusive. Furthermore, I believe that his actions were a direct violation of the Patient Bill of Rights. During my initial visit, the doctor refused to refer to my medical history, insisting on observing my testosterone levels drop instead. This meant discontinuing my well-established treatment of 10 years, causing unnecessary distress. When I asked him about this decision, he evaded my concerns. Eventually, the lab results confirmed my low testosterone, and I returned for Testopel implants. Once again, I questioned the doctor about not using my medical history, to which he callously responded that he didn't have to. When attempting to discuss the ideal testosterone levels, he dismissed my concerns about fatigue and claimed he was fine with my levels at 400. This questioning seemed to upset him, leading him to carelessly mishandle my implants, causing a protruding scar and failing to properly close the incision. After a decade of testosterone treatment, this was my first encounter with such an unprofessional and detrimental experience. Dr. Matthew Eskridge, MD should be avoided at all costs, as his actions have left me with a visible scar that may never fully heal.
