Very impressed , went into fetal testing and nurse caught contractions on the monitor . Asked if she could preform cervical check which I agreed and turned out to be 5 cms dilated. Was congratulated and moved to labor & delivery . Staff was super friendly and attentive. Labored naturally and nurses were sure respectful of my birth plan and my choice of a non medicated birth . When calling nurse extensions they answered and were sure to help me ! Day shift nurses introduced me to Night Shift and omg may I say every nurse was amazing from the hello to the goodbye. Thank you nurse Tara for helping me deliver my baby, the doctor didn't make it and thank you Tara for keeping me calm. being super attentive, respecting my labor and being amazing !! She helped me break my water ! & helped me so much , I could rant but to close I'm just super great ful for this hospital , staff and especially nurse Tara ! Thank you god bless

I never thought that I I would leave a 5 star for ER since I've had very bad experiences in the past. But I had to leave a comment for this facility. Oct 23, 2022 (a week ago), I went to ER due to major abdominal and back pain. I have a lot of medical issues but the pain was excruciating so I finally decided to go. Long story short, I was checked in within 15 minutes which I was shocked. Everyone who helped/treated me was kind and helpful and answered all my questions. I got there at 7:30am and left around 12:30 pm which is not bad at all considering you're at the ER. I did also have a CT Scan which took a while to get and had to wait for a room. But overall, my experience was a great one. Thank you to all the staff for showing you cared and wanted to really help me and my pain. I also go next door to the surgery center for procedures and it's always an excellent experience as well. I'm always treated to nice and they are such professionals! I get chemo treatments next door to the surgery center (Todd Cancer Pavilion) and the staff there is phenomenal! I'm very happy and lucky to have the best experience when dealing with ER, surgical center and Todd cancer pavilion. Thank you wonderful staff of these three locations for everything and keep up the excellent work!

I have been in and out of this hospital sometimes takes longer but they always help . I think it depends how big your emergency they prioritize it . My Obgyn Christine Fegile luckliy was at the ER and from my obgyn clinic got transfer to hospital and she was notify knew i was coming took care of me every step with patience and guiding me this sad and difficult situation she did everything great to stay on top of everything. Thank you soo much to all the nurses and doctors that have been taking care of every time I Go they saw it was a sever emergency and took me back so quick . and took me into surgery

I wanted to give it a 3 star rating because of the wait, and the coldness of some of the front desk staff in ER. That doesn't seem fair because there are only a select few ERs throughout Long Beach and as my aunt says "many people treat the ER as a doctor's office.", so of course it gets packed and the wait time is long. I do hope & pray that over time they are able to expand further and get more beds/ people start utilizing urgent care facilities more often. As far as the nurses & doctors go, I had an AMAZING experience  I took my 3 year old son in because he had a rash-resembling swelling on his hands and feet, which proceeded to spread over his legs and arms. The nurses checked up on us often in the ER room, and even more when my son was admitted to the childrens center. They were always very kind and patient with him, while frequently checking on his father and I (mom) to make sure we were also doing okay. I wish I remembered all the names, but thank you to Long Beach memorial staff, and thank you to everyone else in the Childrens center for your kindness & endurance throughout these tough times!! Was here for a week saved my life and found out everything and set me up with the best team of Doctors. The nurse's here are the best bedside manner of all my hospital stay this was great only downfall is the food is horrible and is blank and pain and all taste the same...had to get In & out and felt better. Yeah, break your arm or leg while drunk off your ass, yer prolly gonna wait a minute. BUT, bring a loved one in who's experiencing something serious, then care is on the way. Such a caring and empathetic hospital, full of brilliant doctors. So happy to have this hospital as our sanctuary if life gets scary and my fam needs help!.
