I wanted to give it a 3 star rating because of the wait, and the coldness of some of the front desk staff in ER. That doesn't seem fair because there are only a select few ERs throughout Long Beach and as my aunt says "many people treat the ER as a doctor's office.", so of course it gets packed and the wait time is long. I do hope & pray that over time they are able to expand further and get more beds/ people start utilizing urgent care facilities more often. As far as the nurses & doctors go, I had an AMAZING experience I took my 3 year old son in because he had a rash-resembling swelling on his hands and feet, which proceeded to spread over his legs and arms. The nurses checked up on us often in the ER room, and even more when my son was admitted to the childrens center. They were always very kind and patient with him, while frequently checking on his father and I (mom) to make sure we were also doing okay. I wish I remembered all the names, but thank you to Long Beach memorial staff, and thank you to everyone else in the Childrens center for your kindness & endurance throughout these tough times!! May God bless you all
