i’ve been coming here for a while. i particularly like dr Higgins, she’s great! i’ve seen a lot of derms over the years, and can confidently say dr wang and dr higgins are excellent: modern doctors who keep up to date with the latest, have great bedside manner (good listeners). The office is also easy to communicate with and they have online scheduling.

Staff and doctor are super friendly! After some scalp injections I was feeling nauseous and the doctor/staff were very attentive to provide cookies and apple juice which I’m very grateful for. I’ve gone to 2 different dermatologists in the area and will for sure be coming back to this location.

I haven’t been to the dermatologist since I was a teenager and a friend recently got a skin cancer diagnosis, so I made back to back appts for my partner and I to get skin checks. This was such an efficient office- the building is extremely secure while being conveniently close to 7th St Metro Station- we took the train. The check in process was easy and all of the medical paperwork was digital which made it feel much less daunting as a first time patient. I got in before my appt time and the PA who did the skin check was professional and approachable and made sure my questions were asked. The office was very clean and the staff were kind. We found them on ZocDoc and highly recommend!

One of the best doctor experiences I’ve ever had & I’ve had Cancer! This was such a good experience from booking on the website to text notifications to great easy check in with friendly, smart staff! To top it off, my doctor was so amazing! She was so nice, knowledgeable & made me feel so at ease! Minutes after leaving, I received a text with the shampoo order I needed & my other prescription was already sent to CVS for pick up! To top it all off, they’re in my Cigna HMO network! I can’t believe I found a great doctor’s office thats literally across the street from my office in DTLA. Miracles do exist!

I booked my boyfriend an appointment here, they are quite busy and it was a little far out but he was in no rush to be seen. They resolved his concern quickly and professionally. Highly recommend.

Dr. Shauna is AMAZING. She's brilliant, relatable and tuned into what the patient specifically needs. The facility and staff are awesome.

Dr Yim has been treating me for small areas of alopecia prior to an incident that resulted in multiple traumatic injuries requiring over two months of hospitalizations and nine surgeries. During the end of my stay at the hospital, I started experiencing rapid hair loss (not alopecia) due to the physical stress on my body from the long hospital stay and multiple surgeries, in addition to the emotional stress trying to process the traumatic injuries I had sustained. When I was discharged, most of my hair had been shaved off and fallen out, my brows and eye lashes were also gone. I was tired of dealing with my hair issues so I shaved it all off, immediately regretting it wondering whether my hair would even grow back. The most difficult step in asking for help is picking up the phone to call the doctor’s office and leaving the house to get to the appointment. As a woman, losing your hair is like losing your identity. I couldn’t wait any longer to ask for help. Dr Yim was aware of what had happened to me and the injuries I had sustained and made me feel comfortable and was so supportive. I feel that it is emotionally difficult for a lot of women who experience hair loss for whatever reason to take that first step and ask for help. Dr Yim is a great listener who truly understands how women can find it hard to reach out and make that call. Dr. Yim also offered video appointments which helped me start a conversation about my hair loss and it helped me build a trusting relationship with her. She diagnosed me with Telogen Effluvium and explained its symptoms, causes and treatment. Dr. Yim immediately put a treatment plan in place. Since being diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium, and being on her treatment plan, the hair on my head started growing back and I now have a full set of eyebrows and eyelashes. Dr. Yim is truly an expert in this field and the personalized treatment plan she put together for me resulted in incredible results. It was amazing to see how much hair has grown since my first appointment and follow up in six weeks! I am on month three and my hair continues to grow. Dr Yim also advised that my hair will grow in platinum/silver but my regular hair color will start growing back and she is right again - my regular hair is growing back and the platinum/silver hair is growing out. I would recommend Dr Yim to anyone who is experiencing hair loss, especially as a woman. Dr Yim is a professional yet she is very thoughtful and takes a very personal approach when caring for or coming up with a treatment plan for each of her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Yim at Metropolis Dermatology.

Dr. Yen Wang is literally the best, he made me so comfortable, adressed all my questions and concerns and gave me the proper treatment. I'll be recommending him to all my friends and family!! The staff are also very kind and helpful.
