I was on the phone for an oncology appointment with my mother. Her appointment was at 1pm and Dr. Marathe didn't see her until 2:30. That's outrageous. They say, "that can happen in a doctor's office" but, unfortunately, neither Dr. Marathe nor his staff were communicative about this and it agitated my mother, who was waiting in the waiting room for 1.5 hours. When Dr. Marathe was finally pressed (by ME!) about an explanation, he mumbled something about 45 minutes answering question for a cancer patient. Great! That accounts for 45 minutes, Dr. Marathe, what about the other 45? His appointment with my mother, which, as I say, I was on the phone for, was only a few minutes. I understand that things go long in a doctor's office, but this was unreasonably long with no explanation. Dr. Marathe may be very good at oncology and very fluent in Spanish and Hindi, etc., however, someone ought to teach him about bedside manner, because it appears to be a course that he failed in medical school, or if no course was given, it appears to be a concept that he's not very familiar with. Definitely don't go to Dr. Marathe. There must be other oncologists out there who are more human.
