My relative is a patient of Park Jewish Institute's Parker At Your Door program, and receives medical house calls through this service. It is a godsend! No more ferrying my relative to doctors appointments, and even the lab work and x-rays are done brought to the house. The staff is very attentive. My entire family is grateful for this service through Parker.

After speaking with the supervisor of reviews about my concerns with Facetiming with my Uncle, the following time time I signed-up, I did receive my call. I was impressed with the concern that was shown, as well as the successful follow-up and resolution. I look forward to continuing my Facetimes with my Uncle.

My experience with Parker Jewish Institute has been amazing from the start. Everyone from the clinical staff to the executives are caring individuals who seem to love what they do. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to care for there loved ones.

Our sister Padma Sareen was admitted to Parker Jewish institute after having a stroke about more than a year ago. She is getting efficient, professional and genuine care from the entire staff. This place is a home away from home for her. We would like to thank the entire staff for doing an excellent job with our sister. From the nursing staff, aides to the front lobby staff they are all always fulfilling our sister’s request and making her stay a comfortable one.Special appreciation for Parker Jewish administration:
While we are pleased with the care she has received, last week, Parker Jewish administration arranged a remarkable drive-by visit by families to meet their loved-ones finally under the difficult Covid situation. The best part was that we saw our sister in the wheelchair with her favorite Kathleen Keegan, Director- Therapeutic Recreation. We felt very good seeing our sister after more than 3-months. This was a kind gesture on the part of Parker Jewish admin and we greatly appreciate it.In the process of her rehab and medical care, we need special mention of one very caring person that is Ms. Sujata Seth, Public Affairs Associate, representative - Parker’s Indian Cultural Unit on the 4th floor. As a family, we found Sujata a high-quality professional, providing her services to our sister and the other Indian residents on the floor. Her caring nature and genuine desire to help patients and family members was outstanding and therefore she earned our trust in a short amount of time. Through these difficult times, she has communicated very well with our family of 3-brothers and their spouses. Along with Padma, she treated us also with empathy, understanding and respect. My uncle was admitted to Parker Jewish in 2018 and was treated with the utmost care and consideration while there. With every visit, I witnessed how the staff, the doctors, and the institute as a whole was structured to care for the patients housed with their walls. My uncle was suffering from Parkinson's and at times could be a difficult patient. But the nurses and staff never gave up on him. As someone with quite a few members of his immediate family in the medical field, I can speak to bedside manner from experience and those that work at Parker Jewish are the cream of the crop. Not to mention the daily activities, the cultural food, the prayer room, and the television/entertainment offerings, which helped my uncle feel at home. While he e has passed now, I know that his time at Parker Jewish was spent in comfort and in true care. Thank you for all that you do Parker Jewish. My family and I will never forget it!

My mother was just discharged from Parker yesterday. I don’t have enough words for this wonderful place. Everyone from the top to the bottom is so amazing. From the moment you enter the building, the security and front desk staff always greets you cheerfully. All the nurses and CNA go above and beyond to attend to patients.This kind of work is very demanding and stressful. Some patients can be difficult and impatient, and add to it their families being nit picky; complaining about every little thing. However, the staff never lost their cool. We were there pretty much every day, often different times of the day. We really got to see first hand how good they were with our mom and all the other residents.It speaks volumes when I tell you, I’ve seen the nurses and CNA’s hold patients’ hand and tell them everything will be ok; They have patients with Dementia/Alzheimer who get very anxious at times. They always consoled them and took the best care they could, given multiple patients with simultaneous needs.My mom in early to mid Dementia stage formed an attachment to the CNAs, nurses, therapist, social worker and the director of relations. Yes even the director is so approachable. She came around and talked to the residents. She entertained them. This is in addition to the daily Therapeutic and fun activities the Therapeutic director (another wonderful soul) did with residents to keep them engaged.Last but not least, the social worker and therapists went above and beyond to help us navigate resources to help our mom at home. They spend their time patiently teaching us how to care for her at home. The social worker helped me take all of my mom’s belongings and her down to the car.If my mom or another family member ever needs to go to rehab. We will surely be returning to Parker. This place is a gem! Thank you everyone for all your dedication. You all are amazing!

My grandma was at Parker.The care she received from Parker from staff was superb. The kindness and compassion she received was truly the best. Thank you Parker for the diligence work and care you provided to my grandma. I strongly recommend Parker!

In 2018, my uncle was admitted to Parker Jewish. At over 80 years old, suffering from Parkinson's, we needed to find him a home for the near future that would be both medically and culturally comfortable. What we found was Parker Jewish, and it was a godsend. The staff, the doctors, the management team, the security team, the cooking staff, everyone was a pleasant surprise. They did everything in their power to keep my uncle comfortable for the months he was there. From daily activities, to providing cultural food, to staff that spoke his native tongue, a prayer room for him to find serenity, and television/entertainment offerings that kept him engaged. Although he has passed on now, I know that his time at Parker Jewish was comfortable and I'm indebted to the team and hoards of people that watched over him. Thank you PJ!

my mother is in long term care at Parker Jewish Institute.  My mom gets great care there.  Ms Kaufman the head of social services is spot on in her devotion to the patients there.  The governor who I do respect has made terrible decisions regarding nursing homes.  It is no fault of the institution yet they get all the blame.  I have not seen my 90 year old mom since march.  this is the governor who won't even let us take our parents outside for some air.  But protesting is ok? he needs to step up and give the nursing homes a break.  they are overworked and understaffed.  my mom got covid there and did recover but the governor sent sick people there from the hospitals. it seems he does not care about the elderly and for that Shame on you Mr. Cuomo.My mother gets loving care there and everyone tries hard to get the job done during this crazy time.do not blame nursing homes for the actions of our governor Please write to the governor to let the families in!!!!! The mixed reviews that some people write are obviously driven by emotion. Let's face the fact that a rehab facility will always have tragedies AND triumphs. My family has been blessed to have had the latter with my mother's care at Parker. The first experience had us frightened but the amazing staff recognized that and they cared for not just my mom, but her family. We were invited to be very proactive in her care and the team who worked with us became family. During the COVID crisis the fear factor ramped up significantly, but again, the team at Parker adjusted the programs and allowed us to feel reassured through many telephone conversations both with and without video. We are able to speak with not only mom, but her nurses, doctors, therapists, planners. Yes, we are all still waiting for this to become a story about discharge and reunion, but the professionals at Parker are the hardest caring HUMAN beings we could ask for to stand by our mom's side since we cannot. We trust our caregiving team to do their very best. They forsake their own to care each and every day.
