The staff is great. The doctor is arrogant, rude, dismissive, confrontational and judgmental. I gave him 3 visits before I decided that his attitude is not worth the aggravation. I may not be the perfect patient; but when you have to ask why your doctor seems unconcerned as to why your hair is still falling out while on a medication - thus my request for additional testing, and when every question is met with irritation, and when he often doesn't respond at all and then is again irritated when I ask a question repeatedly (my joints are hurting, do I need to see a rheumatologist? do I need a referral?), and when he insists he prescribed something to you and is irritated you haven't been taking something that he must NOT have prescribed, despite his notes, because I took the prescription HE wrote to the pharmacy, and took what they gave me as prescribed......well, you get the idea. I asked him why he was irritated, again, and he said it was because I questioned him about his determination that I needed an additional test to continue to take a medication I've been on for 8 years (7 in another state). I had accepted his determination, but he was still all pissy. He said it's because I won't stop smoking. He's seen me 3 times total - there is no long history of anything for him to judge me harshly on. I'd like to quit smoking, but haven't found the strength yet (just buried my dad a few months ago). I had mentioned a lump in my breast and that I had an appointment later in the day for a mammogram. He barely paid any attention to it other than to say he could have written a referral for that. Finally I said that if he didn't want me for a patient, to just say so. I then said, nevermind because he had been rude from the moment I had met him, and I was done. I "fired" him, and walked out. I am in my 40s with grown kids and grandkids, so I have dealt with plenty of doctors - and he has the WORST bedside manner of any of them. Avoid!
