Ryan H. Dougherty

I saw this doctor years ago before my kidney transplant. I had no idea then that I had a progressive pulmonary fibrotic disease. He was the first to diagnose it and used several tests, including a biopsy and another doctor's opinion in forming his opinion. I found him not only intelligent and thorough in his examination, but personable, willing to take extra time and care with me, and 'just right' when delivering bad news. He took the time to make sure I understood everything he was saying. He is a pulmonologist's pulmonologist and you are fortunate if you are his patient.

Very pleased with my teleconference call with Dr. Dougherty. He was very comforting, thorough, answered all of my question, and made sure I was clear on next-steps and suggested treatment regime.

I have recommended Dr. Dougherty already to a number of friends. It was Dr. Dougherty who diagnosed a very rare Lung Disease and started a treatment for me that allows me now, nearly 7 years after initial diagnoses to be able to still breath! I don't think I am necessarily the easiest patient but Dr. Dougherty always answered all my questions (and speculations and second guessings etc)
