Select Specialty Hospital - Grosse Pointe

Select Specialty GP did an excellent job caring for my aunt. Respiratory therapy were top notch, successfully weaning her from the ventilator. The RN nursing staff were involved and attentive. Nurse to patient ratio was well maintained and everyone seemed to be aligned with their messaging and care plan. During her stay she was clean and no wounds developed and any knick that was there prior to her admission healed and didn’t worsen. Therapy services worked with her as tolerated and were invested in her care as well. Select staff and Case Management team were open to family involvement and did their best to explain things. I hope we never need them again but to anyone that does, I do recommend.

No one ever wants to be hospitalized, especially in an acute care unit. But it became necessary when my friends granddaughter needed the care only Select Specialty could provide. She made remarkable improvements and when it came time to transfer her to a subacute unit, the family did not want her to go. From not wanting to be hospitalized to not wanting to leave is a true testament to the amazing care given at Select Specialty, Grosse Pointe. Hopefully no one will ever have to take advantage of the care that they provide, but if you do, I can't recommend a better place to be.

My father in-law went to Select Grosse Pointe on life support. They did a great job getting him off the ventilator, and getting him moving again. He was strong enough to go to rehab after his stay with them.

I'd like to shout out to all the staff. A special thank you to Lena, Jennifer, Denesha, Carolyn, Courtney, James Paul, and therapy staff. Food is good too!!
