Dr Zelko was amazing. I called regarding a second opinion for a condition that was not improving. His team worked me in that same day I called after describing duration and symptoms. He immediately had concern and called another MD with knowledge of my situation and arranged for me to be seen, that same afternoon at another practice. His office was humming with patients and when it was your turn it was 100% on you as the patient. Thank you for your care Dr Zelko and team!

Dr Zelko was fantastic. Made time for me on a Fri afternoon for a last minute visit. I had gone to urgent care earlier in the day, and they made my problem worse. He immediately diagnosed the issue (foreign object stuck under my upper eyelid), fixed it, and gave me treatment to prevent infection in the recovery process. He also went out of his way to let me know he was available over weekend as needed if things got worse rather than better. Anytime I have an eye issue in the future, I would 100% go back to Dr Zelko ASAP.

I recently had an eye procedure performed by another surgeon; a procedure that Dr. Zelco does not perform. Following the procedure, I had severe pain. Dr. Zelco saw me although he had a full schedule on a morning before a holiday weekend. He contacted the other surgeon and took significant time providing treatment and relief. With great care and kindness, he treated a complication of a surgery he did not perform. His staff reflects his caring and kindness as well.

dr zelko is just the nicest, most caring, and informative guy. another review, on another site, says he helped a puppy with a scratched eye, in an emergency . . . these reviews are 100% right -- he's a doll . . . and i'm deeply pleased to have found him . . . . PLUS lovely office and receptionist, debbie . . .

Honest and knowledgeable, thorough and patient, went through and explained everything until I was comfortable with the answer.Aside from exams, I've gone there when my pup scratched my eye w her dew claw and my eyeball turned into a fountain, it felt like someone poured sand into my eye. He was able to squeeze me in, same day, and patched me up.I've had other eye docs in the area who were focused on selling frames or convincing me to go with Lasik. Dr Zelko just worked on what is asked, not chasing the $.He was recommended to me and I recommend him to others.

Conscientious. Keeps patient well informed. Does not push surgery using fear. Staff is pleasant and helpful. This is a great glaucoma doctor and I strongly recommend him.

Dr zelko did cataract surgery and gave me my sight back. I greatly appreciate his expertise. His staff is the best.

My mother was visiting from out of town and lost her only pair of glasses. The doctor's office was closed for the holidays, but I left a general message for the office staff and left one with the exchange. Within 30 minutes, I had heard from both Dr. Zelko, driving in the mountains apparently, and one of his office staff, and they faxed me her prescription, gave me an overview of her vision profile, and suggested a 1 hour optical store. Made two calls and we had replacement glasses.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Zelko for many years. He an extraordinarily good doctor and a fine and compassionate human being. He listens to his patients and explains his procedures thoroughly. He is of a rare breed these days, a doctor who returns calls on weekends and holidays, and in my most recent experience, within ten minutes. He never makes you feel that you have interrupted him or that you have to hurry during the conversation. I recommend him highly.

I've seen Dr. Zelko for over 20 years for a variety of opthamological conditions. He's fantastic -- knowledgeable, even outside his specialty, direct, respectful, and genuinely concerned about his patients. He's highly intelligent and has a great bedside manner, treating patients with genuine respect. I can't recommend him too highly.
