The Children's Clinic Central Long Beach Family Health Center

This was my first visit to this location. I usually go to their Cesar Chavez location but I needed a walk in asap for my son. They were quick and caring. We needed to see a specialist at their location. Her shift was already done for the day but she took the time to see us anyway. Hot Tip: If you have to go as a walk in go at least 30 minutes if you want to be at the top of the list to be seen.

So far it’s been a great clinic for my kids. The staff is mostly friendly and the main reason I come here is the hours the clinic is always open sometimes even on holidays and accept walk ins in case you don’t have an appointment they will try and accommodate everyone. The only downside is some of the Doctors aren’t the best. The only doctor I wouldn’t recommend is Dr. Goodman. He is ok with the kids but when it comes to explaining parents concerns he doesn’t seem to care or listen. I brought one of my daughters for a fever that was going on to it’s third or fourth day and he said it was just congestion in her nose he just prescribed Tylenol. The next day once again my daughter had a fever all night and was so fussy I went with my gut and brought her in to see a different doctor and turns out she had a really bad ear infection. That was the last time I will see Dr. Goodman.

The only thing that hurt was when i fell at work and workers comp just told me if nothing hurt i was fine. So i went here after to at least hear my babies heartbeat because i was still on edge that they hadn't checked that out. When i got there the lady at the front was rude and said they couldn't do nothing because it happened at work. She's never welcoming and it makes me want to change clinics just because of her. I wish i knew her name.

Sometimes it is fast with an appointment other times it takes an hour and a half with an appointment...maybe because it was a Saturday I don't know...it takes a while to get in and out on weekdays...bit of you have no insurance you can call them to make an appointment to sign up...the front side has very little seating on Saturday mornings it is so packed people wait outside...can be a bad experience.

Las secretarias de este lugar son lo más déspotas y ineficientes q existan.principalmente un de canas y pelo largo latina, la más mayor de ahí. Fui a una visita y resulta q no era ahí,me mandó a otra clínica q esra en la Artisia y esta actualmente en construcción...q falta de atención y que estúpida mujer,ni siquiera sabía esa información.

Esta es la segunda vez teniendo una muy mala experiencia en el laboratorio de la clínica del 2360 Pacific ave la enfermera aquí no sabe cómo hacer su trabajo eh llevado a mis dos hijos para análisis de sangre y ella necesita picar ambos brazos para encontrar la vena mueve su aguja bruscamente buscando y termina picando hacia los lados del brazo y se escusa diciendo que mis hijos no toman suficiente agua realmente eh visitado muchos laboratorios y jamás eh visto ninguna enfermera cómo está muy mal servicio 😕

Dr Ryan Nguyen it's the most disgusting doctor I ever met. He had food all over his shirt and while he was checking my ears he hurt my left ear. He didn't care at all. No referrals. no concern. no heart. He told me that they don't have a machine to check my ear he doesn't know what's wrong and he just gave me antibiotics and got rid of me.

Awful experience. I've been to many clinics and see many different doctors, some good and some not so much. This is far and away the most upsetting experience with a doctor Ive ever had. I rarely leave reviews and, when I do, theyve only ever been positive. This is the first time Ive had such a bad experience that I felt compelled to write a negative review. It takes an hour sitting on a waitlist to even get a chance to hopefully make an appointment some time in the next couple months. I had my appointment today with Dr. Mellon (SP?), got a call saying the doctor was running late and that it'd be about an hour after the time I was scheduled. They called back in about 15 minutes but I missed it because I wasnt expecting a call for a while. They said they would try to call again but never did. I called and left 3 messages immediately after missing their call and didnt get a response. After an hour on hold on, they answered and immediately hung up on me. There is not a number to call for patients with appointments that day, you have to wait on hold for an hour and hope they bother to pick up, even though you had an appointment. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Please go to literally any other clinic if you have options. If you dont, I hope you have all day to sit on the phone on hold

Una de las recepcionista es una pesada amargada deveria de aprender a tratar las personas oh quitarla de ahi porque siempre q me toca cita siempre solo de amargada pasa

There was a over weight lady & she couldn't get up and walk & they "helped " her & after they all went back to there little desk and they started making fun of her ! I'm sorry but there is like a fat lady that works there too so she shouldn't be laughing because she looks the same and I'm talking about the receptionist the one of the right hand side next to the door !! Stop judging ppl that why you work at a clinic makes no sense !
