Review is for nurses working at Gloval Oncology. They are diligent, kind, and attentive. Dr Yang and the other docs we met are knowledgeable and patient as well. The nurses are what prompted me to write the review after just one visit. They show kindness above and beyond.

This update has been long past due.This office had moved to a new location since 2016 and it is very clean organized and spacious. My mother was unfortunately diagnosed with lung cancer, and I was very relieved that she could also be under the care of Dr Yang.He is always friendly, professional and <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fknowledgeable.my&amp;s=e07a3e88e01a33ed940a78cbd0b0807df87a5aca4c333f8c4c159c86c6ac5143" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">knowledgeable.my</a> mother was always pleased to see him and felt comfortable with him, since my cancer has been cured but I am still under the 5 year monitoring so I also come back for follow ups just to ensure that I am still doing well , and I have been coming for the past 2 years for follow up so I am familiar for most of the staff, I have to say every one there is friendly and I do feel the management had been making the effort to make improvement on their patient care experience. A lot had changed since I first reviewed this office, and all are for the better.I highly recommend Dr Yang and his staff ，you will be in good hands ! This is a 5+ !

The best cancer Doctor ever. My family and I went to see Dr Hank Yang for a second opinion. He took as much time as we needed. He was competent, thorough, and patient. We decided to stay with Dr yang. The nurses there were also nice, friendly. I am happy with the treatments I have received. Now my cancer has been in remission. I will highly recommend dr. Yang to anyone. Dr. Hank Yang is very polite and caring.

I've been Dr. Hank Yang's patient since 2008. Dr. Yang is a very knowledgeable, caring &amp; professional doctor &amp; I always feel very confident under his care! His office staff are so efficient &amp; professional! Office manager Ms. Lii Shin is very friendly &amp; helpful. I have treatment every three weeks &amp; I usually get there around noon &amp; as soon as I sit down &amp; settle, she would bring me their delicious lunch  that you don't get this kind of treatment anywhere else. Over two weeks ago I suddenly experienced weakness, dizziness &amp; had quite low blood pressure. So I went to see Dr. Yang &amp; he said i probably had Sepsis. Right away he informed Ms. Lii Shin to arrange a hospital stay treatment for me. Within a hour my husband took me to Whittier Hospital ER  &amp; to our surprise the staff there told us that  Dr Yang's office had already got the insurance company's approval &amp; there's a room waiting for me! We were so impressed about the efficiency of the great work they had done, bravo ! Now after six day hospital stay in an Isolation Room I'm home resting &amp; slowing recovering! I can positively say  because of Dr. Yang &amp; Ms. Lii Shin's quick decision my life was saved! This is a great story that I would like to share with everybody!!!

The chemotherapy was finally finished. It took 6 months for me. I would like to recommend Dr. Yang and his staff who are like my family during my treatment journey to other patients. I sincerely wish my experiences will help other cancer patients easier and smoother in their difficulty time with treatments. The high efficiency of Dr. Yang and his group impressed me deeply. The process with HMO insurance was time consuming and complicating. Due to human errors, my diagnosis and surgery got delayed. It took 5 months for me from detection of tumor to the completion of surgery. After surgery, on my first day seeing Dr. Yang, he explained the treatment plan in detail and answered my questions patiently. It was late afternoon that day around 6 pm, I thought this "Big Doctor" who has excellent medical background with 30 years clinic experience, he would probably give my case to his assistants. Then taking time to get to insurance to order medication to schedule for treatment. I thought I would need to wait for at least another 10 days. In stead, Dr. Yang submitted his chemo order to my insurance the night after seeing me and I was sitting in his treatment area the 3rd day for my first treatment after I first saw him. During treatments, I needed injections for my low white cell counts. From testing blood, receiving lab reports, applying for medications, to receiving injections, it took as quick as 3 days for me. Whenever I called for my questions, the team would get back to me the same day. Their efficiency team work made my treatment as effective as it can be. I would never forget the enthusiastic of Dr. Yang and his team who always take patients as their first priority.One time, I had bad side effects to the medication, and I needed an unscheduled hydration, At that time, all rooms are full and I was so weak, nurses managed physician assistant's office for me until exam room is available. Physician assistant was then standing and working outside of her office while I was getting hydration in her office. It was hard and difficult with the treatments but in deep of my heart, I am full with appreciations ....

Since my last review things have changed a bit for the better.They are not over booking patients in the morning, and they have not made me wait forever for my appointment, the flow in the chemo room seemed to be better although they didn't add any more staff.I am glad they had taken the issues seriously and made appropriate changes.

During the brief time that my dad saw Dr. Yang, before my dad was switched to a different doctor due to Dr. Yang no longer accepting my dad's insurance, we would wait for hours past our appointment time for Dr. Yang to give us a call for our virtual appointments. For the Zoom appointment after my dad's surgery, Dr. Yang was not only late, but was also unprepared. He did not get or review all the reports ahead of time, and instead spent half the appointment time with his back turned toward us as he looked at the reports on another computer screen.Shortly after, we switched to a different oncologist, before Dr. Yang started my dad on any treatment. Lucky for us! After seeing the new oncologist, we decided to pay out of pocket for a third opinion. That oncologist informed us after reviewing Dr. Yang's report and recommendation that Dr. Yang had suggested an additional medication that was not necessary for stage 3 cancer (which is what my dad has), and that it was more for stage 4. Also! That the medication could potentially cause a rupture. Thank goodness we left before my dad started treatment here! It honestly makes me so frightened and angry just thinking about what could have happened.

go somewhere else if you want to live !!! this doctor is just overloaded with his business and being consultant in other hospitals. you can't even reach him. i was so frustrated with them after a couple of weeks and transferred my mom to City of Hope, Duarte Campus, before the new insurance gets effective.
