I had reconstructive surgery on my knee for a torn ACL. My experience with Dr. Shapiro and SCOI has been fantastic under the circumstances.

Thorough & informative!

Dr. Shapiro is a great orthopedic surgeon. I have had a shoulder repair and clean up done by him. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. My recovery has been a breeze.

I love Dr. Shapiro! He did a great in explaining what needed to be fixed and fixing my shoulder. I love that they check in with you daily to help you get back to normal.

Very thorough in making sure I understood what Dr. Shapiro was going to do to take care of my pain in my shoulder

Dr. Shapiro is top notch but my insurance would not authorize my surgery at SCOI surgery center. I had it done at Memorial and my anesthesiologist missed the mark to block my shoulder. Woke up in excruciating pain which made recovery much harder. Moral of the story is get it done at SCOI where doctors have control over the support staff. Otherwise Dr. Shapiro was great!!
