Gentiva Hospice's Online Review Report Card

Gentiva hospice has been an answered prayer for our loved one. The people are amazing, especially Lindsay. I communicate directly with her with any request and she delivers! She is the sweetest! The nurse practioners are so kind and helpful. Susan and Kelly follow up after visits and order supplies that are necessary for daily issues and provide us with the comfort we need. Gentiva provides a level of care that has exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend their services to anyone facing life-altering changes.

Gentiva Hospice cared for my aunt during the last six months of her life. Every single employee was fabulous---caring, compassionate, skilled and responsive. We had a bad experience with another hospice provider, but when we switched to Gentiva, the quality of my aunt's care improved significantly. My aunt's nurse, Kelsey, gave me her cell number so that I could reach her day or night, and the 24-hour general number was also always answered promptly. Kelsey called me with regular updates (I live across the country) and made helpful suggestions for my aunt's care. When my aunt died, Kelsey made sure that she was dressed in her favorite clothing before the funeral home arrived to pick her up. The other members of the Gentiva staff are also great. Lindsey in the front office is a helpful problem solver; the chaplain, TJ, is kind and compassionate; and Audra, the social worker, is also caring and kind. I'm sure I am missing other people who deserve a shout out because every employee I had contact with was responsive to our needs or concerns. Knowing that my aunt had such a caring team looking out for her when I couldn't be there gave me such peace of mind. I highly reommend the team at Gentiva if you are looking for a hospice provider for your loved one in Nashville.

This 1 star post is because of nurse Kelly. My Dad has cared for my mom (in a hospice state) for three years, feeding her through a tube and bathing her all on his own. We decided to involve Gentiva and they sent nurse Kelly, who ridiculed everything my Dad has done to keep my Mon alive for three years. She halfway bathed her. She wouldn't call my Dad's number when she arrived, as my Dad told her to do because he is hard of hearing. My Dad told her he was not happy with her bedside manner, so nurse Kelly was vindictive and reported my Dad to protective services. After they came out and investigated, they said they didn't find anything that would warrant further investigation. Nurse Kelly is the antithesis of what you would want taking care of your love one in the end years of their life. If you decide to go with Gentiva, tell them not to send nurse Kelly to you. Believe me, you will be sorry. We may remove my Mom because of this.

From the first phone call. This staff from Nashville, TN have been Gentiva Angels. I live 1300 miles away and was not happy with the facility my mother was in. When the staff at Gentiva took over, that all changed. They were always in touch and updating me. They would take photos and videos for me and ensured my mother had everything she needed to pass with dignity. I wish there was a higher rating that 5 stars as this team is unbelievable. Gentiva is the largest hospice company in the country. I am so thankful for the Nashville team. They go above and beyond for their patients. They maintain professionalism while putting the patient’s interest at heart. They are well known for providing food for families as well.

Gentiva is by far the best hospice company ! They have the most compassionate clinicians and go above and beyond for their families ! We were truly blessed with Gentiva Nashville caring for our family member .

I have no profound word of wisdom for families of people who are dying. I know what hospice company I would recommend and that’s Gentiva. I am a single mom of two and made a promise to my dad(on his deathbed) that I would keep mom at home till she didn’t need me anymore. Gentiva has helped me do just that cause mom didn’t want to die in a hospital or nursing home. Thank you to the nurses, aids, volunteers and admin staff for making my mom’s journey to the afterlife smooth and calm. Also thank y’all for treating us like family!

We were introduced to Gentiva Hospice on March 7, 2024. Our beloved sister and longtime friend left us on March 11, 2024. Although our interaction was brief, we cannot express how appreciative we are with the care and compassion everyone showed to us and to our beloved sister and friend. Ellis, Jennifer [liason], Abby [Lebanon location], Chris [clinical mgr], Bobby [social worker], Sister Pam [chaplain] and the dedicated nurses and CNA who shared in her care: Loren, Amber, Susan, Colburn, Misty, Kelsey and Jack...Thank You.

From the moment my Mother in law was admitted to their services, they treated us like we were part of their family. Everyone, from the nurses, home health aids, chaplain and social worker were so incredibly supportive and kind. I can’t thank them enough for making this difficult time so much easier. We will forever be grateful.
