I have read all the comments on Dr Chen and I have to admit there are both positive and negatives. My experience with him so far has been very positive. I am 36 weeks pregnant and recently started seeing him after I fired my last dr due to the way he treated me. when i met Dr Chen and saw that he was a "real" person, not just someone with years and years of schooling, I was completely put at ease. He does have a sense of humor that some might find offensive, but for people such as myself it's needed. Women who are pregnant need care regardless of their age, race, or INSURANCE BENEFITS. Dr Chen recognizes this and doesn't just take the time to see you he MAKES time for you no matter what. The wait to see him is definitly long but worth it in the end. He pulls no punches, tells you straight out, and is very informed and educated. Not to mention unafraid to tackle any situation- easy or life threatening- heads on. His primary concern for his OB Patients is a healthy baby, and that takes precedence over everything else. If you want a dr that knows what he's talking about, and can handle a patient no matter what walk they've had in life, I sincerely suggest you give him a call. Don't forget to take a book when you go to his office, and for the courtesy of his other patients, bring something to occupy your children as well, because you will wait. But it's WORTH it.
