Last Fall, I was diagnosed with 2 squamous cell carcinomas that required Mohrs surgery. I was in the process of moving from Missouri to Colorado. The leg one was done by my doctor in Kansas City and he referred me to Dr. Joel Cohen, MD in Denver to perform the facial one. His work was excellent and I'm very happy with the results. Also, he was caring, provided good education about the procedure and what I should expect about the wound care and healing process. But, the MOST important thing that I'm thankful for was he noticed a concerning small spot on my arm, just at sleeve level. It was melanoma...luckily in situ. That surgery went exceptionally well also. Most recently, I've had an infiltrating basal cell carcinoma on my ear requiring Mohrs which he, as usual was very informative to me about the surgery/healing and that it would likely be more painful than my others...it has been. He does excellent work, he's informative and it was very noticeable to me how considerate and respectful he is to his staff. I'm hoping to done with all these surgeries, but if not, I know I've got a great one!
