Got to her appointment and they told me I was at the wrong building. I ended up in Portland. Front desk lady told me that she would see about squeezing her in there so I didn’t have to drive to Happy Valley. I told her that would be perfect. Sat down and waited for her to bring me the paperwork to fill out and she says “now I know why you were supposed to go to Happy Valley” I told her “because of the open MRI”. She says “yep exactly but I can have one of the techs take her back and show her the machine to see if she’d be comfortable?” I told her “that would be awesome”. Tech assistant came out and explained everything to us and took my daughter back so she could see what it looked like and ended up going in the room they go into and got to watch a little bit of a man getting an MRI done. When they came back to the waiting room my daughter told me she thinks she can do it. The tech assistant says “no we’re going to believe that we can do it”. Few minutes later they came out and got her and I followed to the hallway where the dressing rooms are and waited for my daughter to change. When the tech came to get her she asked my daughter “do you want mom to go with you?” my daughter said yeah. We go into the MRI room and the lady got her set up on the machine on her stomach and in place with her wrist in the boxand put the headphones on for music and so she could talk to her. She pulled a chair up next to it and told my daughter “mom is gonna be right here with her hand on your leg”. They put her in the machine head first from lower back to her head was in the machine and I got to sit right next to her with my hand on her leg. The machine was actually quite bigger than I expected and she had plenty of room. She was in there for about 1520 minutes and when the tech came back in and shut the machine off and I took out my earplugs she says “I think she’s snoring”. my daughter had fallen asleep while in there because she was that comfortable. I know this is a long story but I’ll tell you I may have went to the wrong place but they were amazing and so kind. They were absolutely wonderful with my daughter.
