Update (10/2022) - SCMG does appointments now, in addition to being able to walk-in without an appointment. Yay. Either way Dr. O'Conner and SCMG are the best. I have seen many physicians in my lifetime and Dr. O'Conner is by far the very best. Excellent PA's too. A++++ Easy and fast referrals as needed. Wait time is not lengthy. Excellent professional staff. Highly recommend. They do not do appointments other than annual physicals, however I have not found this to be a problem. If I want to see a specific doctor or physicians assistant I tell the front desk when I sign in. They will in turn give me an estimated wait time for that physician. I can then decide to go in the que to see anyone or wait for the specific physician. The physicians assistants are very knowledgable and provide good service. I highly recommend.

Dr Cheng worked here. Those who were able to have a visit with him were the lucky ones. May he forever Rest in Paradise. He died a hero. A Doctor who truly saved lives, up until his very last breath. We Love you Dr. John Cheng.

I had a wonderful walk-in experience today with South Coast Medical Group. I was nervous going into the appointment, Barbara Garcia and Chardonnay Shinn were Amazing. I feel so fortunate to have seen them today. Both made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and would see them both again next time I need a Dr. apt. Thank you!

My husband and I have been patients her for more than 10 years. We have been VERY HAPPY with the care we have received there. I have worked in an acute care hospital for 26 years and deem the quality of care better than most places. It's clean and the staff is attentive, following through with referrals and what ever else is needed. To those complaining about seeing a PA or an NP, get used to it! Both are used on a daily basis in hospitals and doctors offices. Students are also in the hospitals and doctors offices. Those practices and clinical sites are very generous to give of their time and resources to support education for those who will carry the tourch after us.

My deepest condolences to the SCMP. I never had the pleasure to meet Dr Cheng but I was scheduled to meet him last week during a drop in visit (ended up meeting with another doctor on site.) I usually go to marque urgent care down the street but I will definitely be coming back here from now on Great experience I came In early in the morning and only had to wait a very short time before being taken back Had a bit of an awkward ailment i was coming in for but Stacey made it as comfortable and  quick as possible and gave me great information for aftercare Thank you so much
