Spear Physical Therapy

I took PT at the Penn Station location (450 7th Ave). Had a lower lumbar back problem for which I needed therapy for. Foram Maniar (my PT instructor) was a delight to work upon. She paid good attention to what was needed, prescribed incrementally strengthening exercises, massage, and maintained my schedule on the App so I could continue to do the same at home. Really helped me heal fast and would highly recommend her and the entire Team. Everyone was super patient and helpful me and making sure my posture was correct. I had another injury on my broken wrist afterwards and had the same experience of the Team helping me out. Thanks to them i have had a strong recovery. Highly recommend anyone looking for PT.

My experience with Elena at Spear PT was, and continues to be, absolutely spectacular and everything you'd want when tackling a long healing journey. Elena is an exceptional Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) who is both knowledgeable, kind, empathetic, funny, and just an all-around superstar. She's the first physical therapist I've found in NYC who knew about lipedema, which was incredibly comforting — and super rare! The PT clinic, in general, is fantastic at Penn Plaza - always an incredible energy in the space, with lovely reception staff as well. Thank you so much, Elena - you haven't seen the last of me! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I look forward to coming back! You guys are all SO great!

Henry has been fantastic so far leading up to my ACL surgery, and will be handling my post-op treatment as well! Spear is conveniently located in midtown and all staff members have been friendly and welcoming. Henry is super knowledgable, kind, communicative and professional. Highly recommend and looking forward to completing my recovery with him!

I’m so grateful for the care I received from Mariam while recovering from my tailbone injury. Over the four weeks we worked together, she took the time to thoroughly evaluate my condition and kept reassessing my progress. She pushed me just enough to challenge myself while always making sure I felt supported. I’m also incredibly thankful for the PT assistants who were just as attentive and encouraging throughout my treatment. I would definitely recommend Spear to my family and friends!

Highly recommend! Went here for nearly 6 months dealing with a gnarly shoulder issue, then some ankle problems. Vivek was incredibly helpful, kind, and flexible to my needs. 6 months later and I've no shoulder issues despite increasing my lifting / training. Can't recommend Spear enough and big shoutout to Vivek and his team.

Excellent experience with Ryan. He is extremely knowledgeable and good at explaining what each exercise is for and how it fits into the overall treatment plan. I always felt that Ryan gave me his full, undivided attention when I was in the clinic, and I could tell that he was willing to put as much time into treatment at was needed. I would particularly recommend Ryan for current or former athletes. He recognizes the importance that sports play in people’s lives and puts the extra mile in to make sure that you are able to get back to full capacity.

I can’t recommend Henry Fok enough! I tore my ACL while skiing last winter and worked with Henry both before and after my surgery. The prehab helped me go into surgery feeling strong, and post-op, he guided me through every step of recovery until I was cleared to return to sport. Throughout my rehab, I always felt safe and supported. We consistently tested my knee strength to ensure I was progressing, and as I got closer to getting back on the slopes, we focused on ski-specific exercises to rebuild my confidence. Not only was my recovery quicker than I expected, but I actually had fun in the process. I’m incredibly grateful for Henry and the entire team at Spear – they made what could have been a long and frustrating recovery into a positive experience. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, encouraging, and all-around amazing PT, I highly recommend Henry!
