List of The Center For Cancer & Blood Disorders's Reviews
I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the current no-visitor policy that has been NEWLY enforced at your cancer clinic. As the caregiver and advocate for my mother, who is undergoing weekly cancer treatments, I find this policy not only unnecessary, but inhumane. Cancer drastically alters a person’s quality of life. For patients like my mother—who must already endure physical and emotional exhaustion, constant appointments, and the fear that comes with a life-threatening diagnosis—being forced to attend treatments alone adds to their burden. The isolation is cruel. This policy is especially distressing given the fact that many cancer patients are immunocompromised and must already live in isolation outside the clinic. Denying them the comfort and support of even one family member during treatment adds another level of suffering—one that could and should be prevented. In addition, many patients—especially those who are fatigued, overwhelmed, or experiencing side effects—may not have the strength to advocate for themselves or retain all the information shared during their visits. A single support person can be instrumental in helping them understand and navigate their care plan, ask questions, and feel emotionally supported. I urge you to immediately reconsider and revise this policy to allow at least one designated support person to accompany patients to their appointments. This change would be a humane and reasonable adjustment that reflects empathy, compassion, and respect for the dignity of those enduring the fight of their lives. If you, or any of the “Board” members who agreed on this policy took one step in a cancer patients shoes, you would NOT have agreed to enforce this. Instead NOBODY advocated on behalf of this patient population.
I felt cared for and listened to by all of the staff and doctors. I highly recommend The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders for anyone that is diagnosed with a terrible disease. The staff is amazing!
I was referred to The Center on Magnolia to see Dr. Vasques in February. I was labeled as “urgent” and it took 2 weeks of calling to get a call back. Once I finally got a call back, I was told “we will not speak to you until you get insurance.” (My husband got laid off and we lost insurance) Which I understood and got what they had recommended me to get. Then for weeks I would get 1 response a week that was little to no help. I finally got to talk with the patient coordinator. She was very hateful and not helpful at all. I kept asking what the next step was and she told me “that’s on the patient to figure out.” What that woman didn’t know, I know someone that works there and they heard the whole conversation and how she spoke to me and about me afterwards. I gave up trying to get in to The Center (even though the Doctor was highly recommended) and found somewhere else that not only got me in within a week, treated me like a human. My cancer may have only been stage 1, but it is no reason to treat someone so poorly. I’m sure Dr. Vasques is amazing but, she really needs to look into the staff that is hired.
All the Employees are so loving and attentive, they have all become like family to me and my family, an amazing place to try to heal 🥰. God Bless Careity and The Center
Great nurse practitioner for Dr. Waheed! She is awesome!
very professional and always clean. Everyone is nice
clean and friendly caring
From the moment you arrive at the valet and Bobby assist you to the front desk where Brandy is at. You go in there each day feeling terrible and you’re always greeted with a smile or hug or uplifting words. I wouldn’t chose any other place for my husband to be treated
Very professional the doctors and staff are patient and very caring. Doctor explains everything and listens to your concerns. Makes you feel like you marter and puts you at ease.
Dr. Ojo is by far the kindest, most compassionate doctor I’ve ever been to! The nurse, and the front desk staff are so nice, and welcoming! I feel at peace with whatever they find during my surgery, and know I’ll be treated like family, which is how they make you feel! I have total trust and faith in them!

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
