I’ve been a patient of Dr. Jaiswal‘s since 2016 when she was in Arlington. I have followed her to Las Colinas, and now to Plano because of the amazing care and compassion that she has shown me throughout the years. Dr. Jaiswal works from a place of love, compassion, empathy, and has an astounding amount of knowledge without arrogance. Dr. Jaiswal has one of the biggest hearts. I am honored and blessed to be her patient.
I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the current no-visitor policy that has been NEWLY enforced at your cancer clinic. As the caregiver and advocate for my mother, who is undergoing weekly cancer treatments, I find this policy not only unnecessary, but inhumane. Cancer drastically alters a person’s quality of life. For patients like my mother—who must already endure physical and emotional exhaustion, constant appointments, and the fear that comes with a life-threatening diagnosis—being forced to attend treatments alone adds to their burden. The isolation is cruel. This policy is especially distressing given the fact that many cancer patients are immunocompromised and must already live in isolation outside the clinic. Denying them the comfort and support of even one family member during treatment adds another level of suffering—one that could and should be prevented. In addition, many patients—especially those who are fatigued, overwhelmed, or experiencing side effects—may not have the strength to advocate for themselves or retain all the information shared during their visits. A single support person can be instrumental in helping them understand and navigate their care plan, ask questions, and feel emotionally supported. I urge you to immediately reconsider and revise this policy to allow at least one designated support person to accompany patients to their appointments. This change would be a humane and reasonable adjustment that reflects empathy, compassion, and respect for the dignity of those enduring the fight of their lives. If you, or any of the “Board” members who agreed on this policy took one step in a cancer patients shoes, you would NOT have agreed to enforce this. Instead NOBODY advocated on behalf of this patient population.

Let me start off by saying the group in the Plano office are top notch. I couldn't be happier with the treatment my family member has received. But and it's a big one, the appointment notification system delivered by texting is horrendous. The notification "reminder" scheduling is only hours before the actual appointment and the message content is confusing as it will show multiple appointment times with no classification as to what each is for. The phone number the message gives to call for information or rescheduling, will be at least a 15 minute wait until someone picks up. And that is a central call answering service that then may have to transfer you depending on need. I worked in IT for 20 years designing these types of systems and I would love to fix this one.
I felt cared for and listened to by all of the staff and doctors. I highly recommend The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders for anyone that is diagnosed with a terrible disease. The staff is amazing!
I was referred to The Center on Magnolia to see Dr. Vasques in February. I was labeled as “urgent” and it took 2 weeks of calling to get a call back. Once I finally got a call back, I was told “we will not speak to you until you get insurance.” (My husband got laid off and we lost insurance) Which I understood and got what they had recommended me to get. Then for weeks I would get 1 response a week that was little to no help. I finally got to talk with the patient coordinator. She was very hateful and not helpful at all. I kept asking what the next step was and she told me “that’s on the patient to figure out.” What that woman didn’t know, I know someone that works there and they heard the whole conversation and how she spoke to me and about me afterwards. I gave up trying to get in to The Center (even though the Doctor was highly recommended) and found somewhere else that not only got me in within a week, treated me like a human. My cancer may have only been stage 1, but it is no reason to treat someone so poorly. I’m sure Dr. Vasques is amazing but, she really needs to look into the staff that is hired.
Couldn't be more grateful or satisfied. Dr Thomas Heffernan was kind, thorough in our discussions and treated me with dignity. I had such confidence and for good reason. Surgery went smoothly. I appreciated and continue to appreciate his caring staff and answers to questions etc. Though this diagnosis was a worry there needn't have been. Dr Heffernan truly is an excellent surgeon and I've recommended him several times and will continue. If you've chosen him as your doctor, good job. Your concerns can be set aside.
Doctor Heffernan was so perfect! From the moment I went in to consult with him about surgery until I had the surgery, words can’t describe just how great he was. And his staff … if every surgeon had staff like his, surgery would be so much safer and stress-free for the patient. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and please keep doing exactly what you’re doing. Thanks to you, I now feel like more than a million bucks!
I would recommend Dr.Jaiswal to anyone with any form of cancer. She is wonderful. Gary Rogers, Plano.
Very friendly staff and the doctor is awesome. I feel confident that she's (Dr. Jaiswal) going to find out what's going on and take the best steps to correct it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
