My primary care doctor wanted to talk with a hematologist (a doctor that specializes in blood). I found the BayCare Medical Group Hematology and Oncology Specialist. The physicians are board certified in medical oncology and hematology. They are located in the Axelrod Pavilion on the campus of Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. Setting up the appointment was very easy and everyone that I spoke with was really nice. I had a Telehealth call with Dr. Gadiyaram. My primary care doctor had sent over all of my paperwork so the doctor could have a chance to review it before our call. The call started right on time and Dr. Gadiyaram was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I know that most people would never need to see a hematologist or even know what one is but when you need one...you need one! I can definitely recommend Dr. Gadiyaram and her BayCare Group.
I find all my Baycare doctors to be top notch. Dr Svetlana Enman has been my PC for a number of years and hopefully for all my remaining years (I'm 82). All my medical information is available on screen to all my Baycare doctors - this gives me 100% confidence that Baycare doctors are aware of my total health conditions and can communicate easily between themselves, and make the best assessments regarding my health. I love Baycare doctors - all of them
St. Joe’s has always had a special place in my heart for their care of my son was he was hospitalized there for 5 days when he 3 yrs old (ultimately diagnosed w/ Celiac Disease), but I wanted to say how incredibly pleased I am with the technician who did my sons Upper GI today. She was amazing. She knew instantly that he may not be able to keep the barium down and she talked and talked to him as she took the images and somehow she managed to get this test done successfully without him vomiting. She was awesome and I’m so thankful we were able to get through this test.
My husband and I have both been patients of Dr Whiting and Pinellas Street Primary Care ( Baycare) for years . This is a well run, professional office with a caring staff and great doctors. Because they reside in the large Baycare complex , if you need a scan or bloodwork done, you most likely can do it all in the same place- I recently had to do an ultrasound and bloodwork, I went right from my appointment with my PCP, downstairs for the ultrasound , and across the street for the bloodwork-- from the appointment to the finish I was done in around two hours for everything-important if you are still a working class dog like me. The reults were sent immediately back to the office and my doctor could coordinate care asap.
I went to Bartow emergency and was transferred to Lakeland. in the two hours I spent at Bartow I received more information than the two weeks I was in & out of Lakeland regional. Bartow is one of the best they truly care if you ever been to Lakeland regional you can tell the difference immediately, they don’t seem to care it’s just a job and don’t explain anything. I only wish Bartow was bigger to do more procedures so I can avoid Lakeland altogether. Keep up the fantastic work everyone at Bartow Are friendly caring and great
Best years of my work life 2007-2015 there.Learned so much-good mentors and then good hearted friends.
I love Baycare! I love everyone at Mease Countryside!
Had an appointment at 8:40am today. I did arrive at 8:52am, I apologize and I accept accountability for being late. This however resulted in my appointment being rescheduled for next week. They apologized for the mix up so I'm not sure if it was a mix of me being late and them having an office schedule mix up but they could not fit me in today. I will be back next week, will update if I have the same or better experience. They seem nice, I just don't think they viewed me as a patient this time around and more like a number. Again, I'll give it one more try next week.
Tried to book an appt after establishing with baycare primary inly to find out that not one provider at my office that I just established with performs well woman exams? This is a basic function of primary/internal medicine. I should not have to chase around to several different offices/providers/pay more to a specialist for a basic service. I'll stick with an internal med practice that isn't afraid of female anatomy, thank you.
At one point my A1C was super high and Dr Brian Mcdaniels put me on a combination of metformin and trulicity. Been a weight management Dr this was a priority as the diabetes was so much out of control. Go forward to last year, my A1C was under control and on last years phisical, Dr Mcdanields told me to stop taking the Metformin and keep the trulicity for weight management as I am still obese. Even upped the dose from 1.5 to 3. My guess is he forgot to make notes or something because when the insurance asked for authorization for more refills, I make an appointment and get scolded by the Dr for not picking up the metformins. It took me by surprise and let me stunned... and at the time I just didnt have anything to say. I was told "What is the point of coming here if you are not picking up your medication". You dont ever tell that to a patient!!!! You educate, you talk. This was very inappropiate of him to say. Because people will do just that. Stop coming!!! Only after I left the office, feeling confused, is when I remembered that it had been him that had told me to not take it because of how good my A1C was. Somehow, pharmacy tells me the prescription was now approved, so I take it for a couple more months but now they need authorization again. They call the office and the Dr declined. Probably because after the last visit, I complained to Baycare corporate about this. Obviously Baycare doesnt care. Look at their reviews... 2.9 out of 5 star for a medical office is very low... Avoid at all costs...
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
