Spear Physical Therapy

Very thankful for the team at Spear! I was in so much pain when I started PT back in January. Jada’s patience and support over the last six months helped me not just recover, but end up stronger than I was before. Jada and the rest of the team, including Josef and Peter, were always kind, patient, and ready to laugh with me when something was unexpectedly hard. I’m thankful for their help, and to be back to myself!

I’ve worked most closely with Josef, Jada, and Essence to recover from my shoulder surgery. I have made a lot of progress and the staff has been attentive in understanding my goals to help me progress. The team keeps it fun and I look forward to my PT sessions.

Really enjoy my time at the downtown Brooklyn Spear location. The PTs and support staff are incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and kind. I’ve been coming here to rehab from a surgery and thanks to Jada, and the rest of the team, I actually look forward to my weekly sessions.

I’ve been working with Rachita & Essence through multiple injuries as a marathon runner and they’ve been incredibly informative and helpful. I’ve been running pain free largely due to the team here— everyone is very friendly and makes physical therapy fun.

This is the best therapy place I have been to over the years. They have real professionals who adequately assess your needs, know exactly the type of treatment needed and work as a team when you are there i.e., no downtime during your session. Don, who is the director has just the right energy and guides every step of the session, correcting if necessary. Josef, Nicole are genuinely caring. The place is small but efficiency is at the top. I liked the vibe, excellent work of the appointment coordinators and ease to schedule availability permitting. Oh, text reminder will date and time never failed.

I've been to a few of their locations and each time I'm amazed, all over again, at how friendly, kind, and professional the staff is. My therapist, Chai, diagnosed me quickly and accurately and made me feel comfortable right away. I feel like this is one of those places where everyone is happy working. They must have a really good management philosophy!

My time at Spear this year has been without a doubt the best physical therapy I could have ever wished for. My therapist Chai (Chaitali) was incredible, she went above and beyond in her sessions with me. I came to her with a back & shoulder pain that she quickly devised exercises for, but every week something else came up for me and she just went with it, coming up with seemingly endless ways of stretching and strengthening to address each problem spot. I learned that I've been doing dumbbell "wings", chest presses and similar arm/shoulder lifts incorrectly: I wasn't guiding the motion with my shoulder blades. Now I can do those lifts without shoulder pain, and I have a long list of exercises that I will continue to do before workouts. On top of all this, Chai has a beautiful attitude, always smiling and positive and so easy to talk to. I really can't say enough good things about Chai and Spear. This has been a wonderful experience!

I’ve been struggling with pain for nearly a year, and was referred for physical therapy. I was very lucky to work with Andrew Sneider, the only person on my medical team that took the time to really dive into my issue and monitor my condition over several weeks. He actually confirmed my suspicion that physical therapy wasn’t the solution for my issue. Today I just met with a surgeon who confirmed surgery is the only solution. I am so grateful for Andy, please give him a huge raise!

Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. An effective and efficient service that has helped produce great results. Due to arthritis I had stopped cycling for 7-8 months but after half a dozen sessions, thanks to Spear and the amazing Shane, I'm back pedaling again. Highly recommended. Only wish I had started sooner.
