After viewing the other reviews, it appears this clinic was stellar about four years ago. I have attended the clinic for the past nine months, and I really cannot say the same, and I do not like giving low ratings. First, I can state the positive aspects of the clinic: it is close enough for me to walk to, it is a clean facility, and my nephrologist is at this clinic. However, some of the negative aspects are as follows: it is only open three days a week, so if you need an extra treatment or you need a schedule change, it can be a bit challenging getting to the other clinics they refer you out to. They have had a lot of water problems, just within the short amount of time that I have attended, more than other clinics I have attended in that same amount of time. There is a language barrier with the head nurse, and so I know I have become frustrated with communication issues, especially in regard to my labs. If they are running late, they never call to let you know, and have cut my time prematurely without offering if I would like to attend another clinic to receive my full treatment. There is tension between some staff members, and they have had no problem arguing right over me even when I was not feeling well- I don't find that to be very compassionate or professional. And, I sincerely, feel like there is a lot of favortism toward some patients over others in the clinic. The patients are definitely not treated equally. They will help more patients out with certain things and other patients they keep dawdling. I knew that I was going to have several procedures completed over the next few months, one of which was a bunionectomy, which meant that I needed to be off the foot and that I needed help with transportation. I told this to the clinic about a month and a half in advance, because I like to be prepared. I had been walking to and from the unit (40 minutes going and 40 minutes coming), but I knew I needed transportation for my time of healing. They have as of yet to get the transportation I need, even after I offered to change my chair time or attend one of their sister clinics. Instead I have had to pay for a LYFT ride to get there and a member in the clinic has had to pay for a ride for me to get home. Or it has been suggested that I get a ride with a patient, which is very unpredictable because the other patient may not be feeling well that day or may have received a kidney. The point is, I do not live outside of the city limits and I do have insurance for transportation, and I have offered to change my chair time or the clinic to accommodate. I am not a difficult patient and do not ask for much. Like I said before, if you are fortunate to find favor with the staff, this may be the clinic for you; but for those who they don't respect much, I would say to look elsewhere.

My husband goes to DaVita for dialysis. Everyone I have met at this facility is very caring, professional, and above all very caring. Great improvement on his health, and he actually looks forward to going

I have been to several dialysis clinics. Mostly Fresenius centers....and DaVita West-side location has been the ABSOLUTE BEST!! The staff are extremely nice, provide the best treatment and are very caring to your needs. If you are looking for a professional dialysis center with an AWESOME STAFF Of Nurses and Social Worker. This is the model location. I come out of my way to receive their Quality Service! Being a retired RN, I know a well trained medical staff and they are certainly one of them. Thank You! Staff are very friendly and the place is new and amenities are very up to date and extremely clean!

Facility is quite new and very clean. Staff is very professional and friendly. Still has a few patients, but am very glad that they are open 6 days a week.
