My 1st experience with dialysis -- 1st-rate. Caring, professional staff is alert to needs of ALL patients and keeps patients well-informed. Excellent follow-up with dietary staff and Social workers. Nurses and technicians work hard and are very mindful of patients' care.

People with chronic illnesses get two kinds of care, great care or "I don't care". My grandson is a patient here, first day in. The facility is nice, clean and staff is very pleasant. The recliners the patients use, are not comfortable. Most of the clients who use them are thin, bony even. And for the amount of time they are restricted to the chair, is nearly torture. Realize they need to be cleaned regularly, a bit of luxury would be nice in chairs with more cushion and wider so they are forced to stay on their backs. Again when people cannot leave a chair during treatment, requests should be acknowledged in a kind way. A patient asked for Kleenex. The treatment room is large and with the noises they make, I'm sure it's difficult to hear a soft spoken woman. But when you do respond to her request, there is absolutely nothing in the nursing/technician standard of care that allows you to TOSS the Kleenex to the patients table. It's a perfect example of the "I don't care", patient treatment and a clear signal of patient/person/elderly disrespect.
