Overall, in center hemodyalosis was a good experience. When I went to the pd program, however, I ended up with three different trainers (first one had Covid and couldn’t complete my training.) Three different trainers- three different ways of teaching, showing pd operations.
Within a month at home, multiple equipment failures ( two cyclers, two cassettes) leading to next day manual exchanges. The cyclers are all refurbished and look to be based on a Windows 3.1 operating system. Each time equipment failed, solution bags, cassettes, and tubing all thrown away- I ran out of supplies in less than three weeks.
Until upgrades are made, I will be looking elsewhere.
