I booked an appt for Saturday, and ubered there - and they told me the physician isn’t even there that day and that the next physician will be coming 5 hours from then. Shouldn’t let u book appointments if docs aren’t available wasted time and money
Clinic very clean and well managed. Clerical person very friendly and professional at his job. The Doctor who saw me was also very professional and committed to her profession. I give this place 5 stars.
Purely a review for the front receptionist… By far the worst inexperience front receptionist I have ever encountered. Wasted an hour of my time waiting for an incompetent receptionist to tell me that I owe them money and that I have not met my deductible. She tried to argue with me, only me to raise my voice and set her into place. 40 mins in, she calls insurance only to verify that I am right. I feel bad for the doctors who will lose patients because of the receptionist. Tip for the lady… you know who you are: - don’t argue with a customer - don’t pretend like you know insurance rules when they are all unique and not all plans are the same - don’t make a customer wait while you’re twiddling your fingers
The doctor was very helpful and listened to my concerns, she was kind and didn’t rush me out, thanks
I visited this dermatologist’s office two days ago for a skin rash. After my exam, I was given a prescription, but when I went to the pharmacy I was shocked to see that it was for a nail treatment — not for a skin condition. When I tried to correct this mistake and asked for a cream, the experience became extremely frustrating. I called the office multiple times (at least 3–4), and even went there in person once. Each time I was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. The staff listened but did not actually help me resolve the issue. One person even told me, “you are not the doctor to tell us about it,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. It’s now the third day since my appointment, and I still don’t have the correct prescription. My skin condition remains untreated because of this error and the lack of proper follow-up. This has caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and continued discomfort.
Please go somewhere else. I went here for acne treatment and was suggested Accutane. There is a 30 day enrollment period and I filled out the paperwork on the spot. In the mean time, a prescription was suppose to be sent in for me for other medication. It was never sent and I had to call twice to get it filled, which was annoying, but not that big of a deal. Flash to 30 days later for the appointment where I was suppose to start accutane. I arrive and the receptionist is late, so I have to wait to check in. Then once I do, I am informed that the office “forgot” to enroll me 30 days ago and I now have to wait another 30 days to start. I felt devastated and barely received an apology. If you’ve struggled with Acne, you understand how it can affect your quality of life. I simply cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism and negligence.
UPDATE: Turns out my issue with this facility is a case of pure and simple (intentional) FRAUD. My insurance eventually processed their claim as in-network leading to an extra payment by the insurance for $122. The facility still keeps sending me bills. Obviously this this fraud. Be VERY cautious, especially if you are not familiar with deciphering insurance claims, EOB's, and so on. Also note: (a) they always respond to reviews by giving an email to contact to resolve the issues reported. THEY NEVER RESPOND. (b) I opened a BBB complaint about this. They ignored it. Check the BBB site and you will see they are graded F, as they ignore all complaints systematically. In June 2025, I contacted this practice to schedule an appointment with Ms. Carolina Cabrera, PA, at their Hell’s Kitchen location. Since I couldn’t find Ms. Cabrera listed as in-network with my insurance, I called ahead to verify coverage. I was told that all claims are submitted under Dr. Robert Buka, the CEO of Dermatology Specialists, who is indeed in-network with my plan, with a $30 copay. However, after my visit, the claim was instead submitted under Dr. Garry Waterman — a provider I never saw, never interacted with, and who is not in-network with my insurance. As a result, my visit was billed out-of-network, and my copay jumped from $30 to nearly $107. For over three months, I have been disputing this charge while the office continues to demand the $77 difference. I have called their billing department more than a dozen times and even gone to the Hell’s Kitchen location twice to try to resolve it. Every attempt has been unsuccessful. The billing staff seem unfamiliar with even the basics of how health insurance works — conversations feel like talking to an automated system rather than real problem-solving. At this point, the situation reflects either serious incompetence or deliberate misbilling. Patients should not have to fight this hard to get accurate, transparent billing, and I would strongly caution anyone considering this practice.
I think the team did an amazing job! Having your body checked over can be intimidating, but I was comfortable the entire time. I trusted my doctor because of his assessment and abilities, the reception staff just knew everything and made me feel welcome and in good hands, the tech stayed with me throughout the visit, explained everything and was very concerned about how I was doing during my visit. Thanks for a great visit!
I came into this dermatologist office on a Saturday. The doctor's assistant heard me heard my complaints about the Sun spot. I had developed on my face, she viewed it and she suggested some medication that she prescribed to me. After using the medication, the scar appear to be healing. My other appointment I when the doctor saw on me. She also prescribed more medication and suggest Some block that I should use and she also gave me a gift bag with sunblock and moisturizer. The office is very welcoming the atmosphere. It's very low and smooth. I would definitely suggest this place and I will continue to go there for any skin issues.
I was in & out quick & she took care of my problem quickly as well..I was amazed with her Professionalism..going back back next month for more work done..

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
