You limp into physical therapy after hip replacement surgery feeling vulnerable and hopeful. These are the experts. They will fix you and put you back on your feet. All you have to do is do what they say and continue doing what they say every day. You are assigned Josh Pernick who is calm, warm, friendly, personable, capable, encouraging, clear, flexible and relatable. He doesn't rush you yet he always challenges you. You know you're in good hands and you watch your body improve quickly and incrementally with each visit. I adore Josh, I admire him, I'm grateful he was my physical therapist and I think he's an overall great guy. He works with you, he listens to you, he addresses your concerns, he makes the process palatable, even fun at times. What more could you ask for?

Quality trainers, equipment, and professionalism make the sessions helpful and effective. All staff members are of high quality with patience and understanding of all of us. Sessions are always helpful.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I cannot express enough gratitude to Dr. Carlene Scaravaglione. I met her yesterday for the first time and she was outstanding! She was extremely patient and understanding. Her knowledge, expertise, and compassion is what impressed me the most. I had an excellent first therapy sesion and she was thorough with the hand exercises she gave me. Thank you so much for putting me at ease - I was a nervous wreck. Looking forward to my upcoming appointments!

I went to Spear due to sudden knee pain with no injury about 6 months ago. My assigned DPT Malik Ali performed a very detailed examination and medical history and started my program right away. Thanks to his knowledge and skills he quickly realized that my problem was not just the knee but basically a chronic muscle tightness in my back and entire leg all the way down to the back of my foot. With a lot of dedication and patience he continued my rehab journey while making the necessary adjustments along the way whenever I brought a new issue or concern (which were multiple) but he never gave up, he put a great effort in educating me on my condition and how to help myself improve with the right training and various techniques. Thanks to him I can go back to my normal life and have the opportunity to even do better than before physically, he's a great professional and human being.

I worked with Malik on my arthritic knees. After just a few sessions I was able to walk up and down stairs pain free. I highly recommend him.

I had such a positive experience with Malik at Spear. I had acute pain and he took time to do a thorough evaluation on my first visit. He determined the issue and we got to work! Malik carefully explains the 'what' and the 'why' of each exercise and also creates a home program to support my progress between sessions. He's encouraging, kind, and brought positive energy to each session, even when I felt too tired to do the exercises. I'm so grateful for his knowledge and expertise!
