Texas Oncology in Plano has excellent staff and facilities. Very patient oriented.

I have nothing but good things to say about Texas Oncology. Dr Colton has been incredible as are the nurses and infusion team. I moved here from Philadelphia and was used to an incredible team at the Abrahamson Cancer Center. I was worried I wouldn’t get the same level of care, but my feats were put to rest.

Would not recommend Texas Oncology to anyone. My doctor puts in an order for chemo 3 weeks out, I try to follow up. They inform me the day before that there are no openings. They've messed up everything they've tried to schedule, from lab work to chemo infusions. In addition to some treatment issues I no longer have confidence in my care here. Mentioning that I went to the Austin/North location seems irrelevant. Because after reading so many bad reviews I conclude that all locations have bad problems.

Dr. Fu saved my life! I'm forever grateful to him and his team for responding and acting quickly to critical situations. Thank you Dr. Fu & staff!

Texas Oncology’s hematology department is the most incompetent medical office I’ve ever dealt with. They repeatedly failed to order the correct labs, didn’t get the right medications, ignored my requests, and delayed care for weeks. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like my health was an inconvenience. Because of their negligence, my surgery had to be canceled — completely avoidable if they’d done their jobs. In my opinion, this place is a risk to patient safety and should be investigated.

In my book, Texas Oncology is the best place to go when you receive the worst news. When a routine primary care test came back with some scary results, I was devastated and terrified. My doctor referred me to Dr. Lynne Knowles for assessment and possible treatment. I was planning on moving states within 3 weeks of receiving these results, and the staff at Texas Oncology went above in beyond to accommodate me quickly. Every step of the way, I was blown away by the level of care I recieved. I work in healthcare, and honestly Texas Oncology is the best I've seen and should be considered gold-standard. Before even seeing the doctor, I met with the lovely Tia, who handles billing. She had run my insurance information and gave me the inside scoop on how hospitals bill (should I end up needing treatment). She explained what coinsurance means, wha my deductible means, what bills I can expect. At 25, I have never paid more than an office visit copay, so this was all very important information for me to receive. She said that Texas Oncology likes to go over the possible financial plans first, so I can clear my head of the money issues and focus 100% on what the doctors' are telling me. Dr. Knowles' clinic staff was also incredible. The MAs and nurses were all so kind, and made me feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Dr. Knowles herself was the best doctor I have ever had. She explained my situation for 2 HOURS, in great detail, with pictures and diagrams. She went over the procedure I would need, weighed pros and cons of every other option, and ultimately booked me into her schedule to get my day-patient surgery 2 DAYS later. I mean that is unheard of. By the time I was leaving the office, all of her staff had already headed home as it was after closing time. She is the kind of doctor that will sit with a patient and ease their mind, fill them in on the game plan, and make sure they have all the facts straight. I had absolutely 0 more questions after leaving her, and I went into surgery clear headed and ready. Within the span of a week, I received a scary diagnosis, met with Texas Oncology for the first time, and had my surgery to treat said diagnosis. I ended up moving cross state right on schedule, with no health issues. All in all, I cannot recommend this office enough. I am still floored by their level of care, even months later.

Navigating a difficult health journey is never easy, but having a team like Dr. Kasper’s at Texas Oncology has made all the difference. From day one, I was met with warmth, understanding, and a level of care that goes far beyond the clinical. Allynne, RN, has been a true angel in this process. Her gentle spirit, calming presence, and consistent encouragement gave me strength on days I didn’t think I had any left. She takes the time to listen and always makes sure I feel comforted and cared for — not just as a patient, but as a person. Donna, NP, has also been a beacon of light. Her compassion, thoroughness, and genuine empathy made every visit feel less overwhelming. She explains things with such clarity and kindness, which brought me a deep sense of peace during an otherwise uncertain time. Dr. Kasper has cultivated a team that embodies grace, strength, and healing. I am sincerely grateful for the heart they pour into their work. Their care has not only helped me physically but uplifted me emotionally and spiritually. I truly don’t know what I would’ve done without them.

The only saving grace of this office is how sweet the office staff and Dr. Knowles' MA are. My encounter with Dr. Knowles left me feeling shamed, ridiculed, and like she felt as if I was a waste of her time. Never did I think a female in the GYN field would tear another woman down the way she did, but today I was proven grossly wrong. I sincerely hope she takes time to reflect on how she approaches her patients and how her care manner can impact their day and their life.

Scheduling is a nightmare! It's been over a month and they can't get me scheduled when I have a scary test result! The people who answer the scheduling phones say they can't schedule you because they don't have correct computer permissions and that a scheduler will have to call you back in 24-48 hours. If you ask them to leave you a voice message with your appointment date and time, when they call you back, they won't do it. They'll just hang up and not even leave you a message. Then you get to start the whole scheduling process over again, like you never called the first time and like they never screwed up, and this is regarding cancer, so we're all actively dying while waiting for an appointment. I highly recommend finding a different cancer clinic. This one is the worst!
