Texas Oncology in Plano has excellent staff and facilities. Very patient oriented.

I have nothing but good things to say about Texas Oncology. Dr Colton has been incredible as are the nurses and infusion team. I moved here from Philadelphia and was used to an incredible team at the Abrahamson Cancer Center. I was worried I wouldn’t get the same level of care, but my feats were put to rest.

I’m just trying to understand what exactly is your system for scheduling new patients. I can’t get scheduled no matter how many calls and even after 2 separate doctors sent referrals. This is suppose to be an oncology hospital dealing with serious health conditions where time is of the essence and there seems to be zero urgency in getting patients scheduled. I’m already a cancer survivor and luckily was treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York and this would have never happened there. Do Better fix your current system of operations or hire better Hospital Administration. This is unacceptable.

Dr Vemuganti is terrific, she really listens and cares, her nurses Cindy and Maria are wonderful. Mary at the pharmacy goes above and beyond, making sure our understanding of the meds is good. The infusion team is amazing!! In the few months we’ve been going, we have been not just well cared for, but treated like family. Mindy is so loving, Sheila so warm, Kayla so kind, Camille keeps everyone laughing. All of the infusion nurses have been so wonderful and encouraging. We’ve seen them sit and hold a hand, cry with patients, cheer them on in more than just their treatment. They really get to know their patients. It’s a big happy family. I’ll miss them when we are done.

Would not recommend Texas Oncology to anyone. My doctor puts in an order for chemo 3 weeks out, I try to follow up. They inform me the day before that there are no openings. They've messed up everything they've tried to schedule, from lab work to chemo infusions. In addition to some treatment issues I no longer have confidence in my care here. Mentioning that I went to the Austin/North location seems irrelevant. Because after reading so many bad reviews I conclude that all locations have bad problems.

After 4 months of trying with this location we have decided to commute to MD Anderson in Houston. We also tried the Austin location of Texas oncology but the doctor would not be available for 3 months. The way this organization communicates between its physicians and staff is a detriment to the patient. We will be commuting to MD Anderson and will have made progress in 1 week what Texas oncology was unable to do with someone with cancer for 4 months. We will be starting completely over and doing testing from scratch and we are already more optimistic than what this organization did. Run away for the sake of your family

Texas Oncology in Midland is wonderful, I highly recommend them.

It went like this: they rescheduled a couple days before appointment, then reschedule 15mins before my new appointment, they didn't call me and I found out my newest appointment got cancelled when I went to check in. Told me they don't do my testing after they looked at it. I asked for a referral to get the specific testing, they said I could "go to anyone who does that testing." Not to mention dropped calls while on hold and the never calling me back. They're busy and shouldn't be taking on new patients.

When my mom was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, we trusted Texas Oncology to guide us through the most difficult fight of her life. Sadly, what we experienced was neglect and a lack of transparency. We later learned that my mom had the KRAS G12C mutation, a critical piece of information that connects directly to targeted therapies and clinical trials. Shockingly, this was never shared with us. Families should not have to do their own research to uncover what their doctors already know. Even worse, despite her visible suffering, her pain was never adequately managed under their care. We pleaded for relief, but her pain control was delayed and inconsistent until hospice intervened. Watching her endure that unnecessary suffering was devastating and inhumane. This is not just about one patient, it is about ethics in cancer care. Patients deserve full honesty about their options. They deserve their pain to be taken seriously. They deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. I am sharing this because my mom deserved better. No other family should have to experience this kind of neglect. Cancer care must be about more than protocols and numbers, it should be about treating patients like human beings.

Texas Oncology’s hematology department is the most incompetent medical office I’ve ever dealt with. They repeatedly failed to order the correct labs, didn’t get the right medications, ignored my requests, and delayed care for weeks. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like my health was an inconvenience. Because of their negligence, my surgery had to be canceled — completely avoidable if they’d done their jobs. In my opinion, this place is a risk to patient safety and should be investigated.
