List of Texas Oncology's Reviews
Texas Oncology in Plano has excellent staff and facilities. Very patient oriented.
I have nothing but good things to say about Texas Oncology. Dr Colton has been incredible as are the nurses and infusion team. I moved here from Philadelphia and was used to an incredible team at the Abrahamson Cancer Center. I was worried I wouldn’t get the same level of care, but my feats were put to rest.
Would not recommend Texas Oncology to anyone. My doctor puts in an order for chemo 3 weeks out, I try to follow up. They inform me the day before that there are no openings. They've messed up everything they've tried to schedule, from lab work to chemo infusions. In addition to some treatment issues I no longer have confidence in my care here. Mentioning that I went to the Austin/North location seems irrelevant. Because after reading so many bad reviews I conclude that all locations have bad problems.
This facility is awful, the first visit they "act" helpful and kind. After that your just a number. They literally forgot about me in the waiting area then forgot again once seated for my infusions. Requested to have the doctor call me to go over the results and they have yet to call to follow up its now been over 3 weeks and forgotten again.
Sat for over an hour waiting for my appointment. Then it’s cancelled because now I don’t have enough time to get my treatment. I don’t have days off of work to just give away! Are they gonna pay me for time wasted? I could have been getting my treatment all morning while they made phone calls. I literally had my insurance on the phone in 2 minutes! Now when the heck is this going to get done. Very frustrated and angry.
Texas Oncology in Midland is wonderful, I highly recommend them.
When my mom was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, we trusted Texas Oncology to guide us through the most difficult fight of her life. Sadly, what we experienced was neglect and a lack of transparency. We later learned that my mom had the KRAS G12C mutation, a critical piece of information that connects directly to targeted therapies and clinical trials. Shockingly, this was never shared with us. Families should not have to do their own research to uncover what their doctors already know. Even worse, despite her visible suffering, her pain was never adequately managed under their care. We pleaded for relief, but her pain control was delayed and inconsistent until hospice intervened. Watching her endure that unnecessary suffering was devastating and inhumane. This is not just about one patient, it is about ethics in cancer care. Patients deserve full honesty about their options. They deserve their pain to be taken seriously. They deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. I am sharing this because my mom deserved better. No other family should have to experience this kind of neglect. Cancer care must be about more than protocols and numbers, it should be about treating patients like human beings.
Texas Oncology’s hematology department is the most incompetent medical office I’ve ever dealt with. They repeatedly failed to order the correct labs, didn’t get the right medications, ignored my requests, and delayed care for weeks. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like my health was an inconvenience. Because of their negligence, my surgery had to be canceled — completely avoidable if they’d done their jobs. In my opinion, this place is a risk to patient safety and should be investigated.
If you have Jennifer Hecht as your doctor’s referral Please try and get a different doctor. I’m giving a 1 star only because you can’t do zero stars. My wife had an appointment for 2pm. I took off work to drive here there. Our arrival time was to be 1:52. At 1:43 we receive a call asking if we were close. I said yes. We are 9 minutes away. She then informs me that we should have been there at 1:15 pm. We asked why we were supposed to be there at 1:15 if the appointment is at 2 pm. She said it was to fill out paperwork. We informed her that we already filled out the paperwork. She then put us on hold to check. Then comes back and says that they still can’t take her. They want to reschedule. I said you didn’t give us a 24 hour notice. If we didn’t give you a 24 hour notice you would charge us. Then she says no we wouldn’t but yet if we were 10 minutes late, she said they would’ve charged us. So it’s OK for them to charge us but not vice versa. Needless to say after putting us on hold several times they decided to cancel us so we told them do not even set us up as a return visit because that wasn’t gonna happen. We will find another doctor. I don’t care if we have to drive further. As you can see by many of the reviews on here they’re not good.
I had an appointment for 2 with them. I was literally only 5 minutes away after it taking me 30 minutes to drive there when they called. Asked where I was if I was coming said yes 5 minutes away my appointment is at 2. The lady said we'll you were supposed to be here at 1:15. I said nope at 2. I filled out all my paperwork online. She puts me on hold again....someone else picks up and says we'll since you weren't here at1:15 we have to reschedule. I said nope cancel me all together I will find someone else.the doctor was booked back to back and can't see me today. Will NEVER go to this place !!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
