Texas Oncology in Plano has excellent staff and facilities. Very patient oriented.

I was diagnosed (misdiagnosed might I mention) with cancer here last year at 32 years old. I had obviously never been through it before and so I did not know what to expect. After multiple visits with Dr Reddy not knowing what was going on (ie. asking me if I had had my bone marrow biopsy done, my Echocardiogram, etc when the results were ready and available to him in the chart which he discovered after i told him they had all been completed) and me reminding him about certain procedures that he had forgotten to bring up during our visits and him saying "oh yeah, let me check on that really quick (again, results ready for his viewing) I was very frustrated. This is one of the toughest illnesses one can go through, and at such a young age with a fresh newborn (a few weeks old) and 3 young daughters in total depending on their dad, it is already stressful enough. On top of that, to have a doctor not even know that your results are in that you are supposed to be able to discuss with him that day is beyond infuriating. That is not even the worst part though. I was misdiagnosed with diffused large b cell lymphoma and given R-CHOP chemotherapy when all I actually had was a low grade follicular lymphoma and was able to do immunotherapy instead. I did not find this out until I had already had a round of R-CHOP at Texas Oncology. I transferred to UT Southwestern shortly after due to the poor in office experiences with Dr. Reddy. UT discovered the new, actual diagnosis and were able to get me off of R-CHOP (way more aggressive than is needed for what I had). All of this to say that now a year later they hit my credit with a $1000 bill. I had insurance the whole time with them, and I met my deductible and out of pocket max way before I even started getting treatments (almost $100k just to get fully tested and port placed and ready for treatment). I even went over the next year's financial plan with them in office to understand what I would be responsible for paying when the new year started (it was a couple months away amd my treatment was expected to roll into the new year) but verified that for 2024 everything was already paid and squared away. I wish I had taken a picture at the time, but didn't. Apparently they somehow added charges after that (that was the last day I ever used them for anything) even though I had fully met mt out of pocket max by a long shot and had not had any charges from them for the previous $90k worth of visits and procedures. Makes no sense. There is something fraudulent going on and I plan to get to the bottom of it.

I have nothing but good things to say about Texas Oncology. Dr Colton has been incredible as are the nurses and infusion team. I moved here from Philadelphia and was used to an incredible team at the Abrahamson Cancer Center. I was worried I wouldn’t get the same level of care, but my feats were put to rest.

Incompetent scheduling and communication issues at Texas Oncology for new patient after completing online new patient form request. I was told by my doctor that i needed to see a hemotologist because i had 6 months of abnormal bloodwork. Please be sure you have already received a formal diagnosis from your doctor ‘WRITTEN in their doctors notes’ with a diagnosis code on your out of range anemic blood tests because and I quote “my doctors do not diagnose!” I’m sorry, what is their job?

Would not recommend Texas Oncology to anyone. My doctor puts in an order for chemo 3 weeks out, I try to follow up. They inform me the day before that there are no openings. They've messed up everything they've tried to schedule, from lab work to chemo infusions. In addition to some treatment issues I no longer have confidence in my care here. Mentioning that I went to the Austin/North location seems irrelevant. Because after reading so many bad reviews I conclude that all locations have bad problems.

Texas Oncology in Midland is wonderful, I highly recommend them.

When my mom was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, we trusted Texas Oncology to guide us through the most difficult fight of her life. Sadly, what we experienced was neglect and a lack of transparency. We later learned that my mom had the KRAS G12C mutation, a critical piece of information that connects directly to targeted therapies and clinical trials. Shockingly, this was never shared with us. Families should not have to do their own research to uncover what their doctors already know. Even worse, despite her visible suffering, her pain was never adequately managed under their care. We pleaded for relief, but her pain control was delayed and inconsistent until hospice intervened. Watching her endure that unnecessary suffering was devastating and inhumane. This is not just about one patient, it is about ethics in cancer care. Patients deserve full honesty about their options. They deserve their pain to be taken seriously. They deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. I am sharing this because my mom deserved better. No other family should have to experience this kind of neglect. Cancer care must be about more than protocols and numbers, it should be about treating patients like human beings.

Texas Oncology’s hematology department is the most incompetent medical office I’ve ever dealt with. They repeatedly failed to order the correct labs, didn’t get the right medications, ignored my requests, and delayed care for weeks. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like my health was an inconvenience. Because of their negligence, my surgery had to be canceled — completely avoidable if they’d done their jobs. In my opinion, this place is a risk to patient safety and should be investigated.

Dishonest and not transparent with their billing. Get your credit cards ready. They lied when I was first there or I wouldn't have even started this journey. Now I'm out over $500 for nothing because I have to cancel my procedures. When I first visited the office the prices I had received based on the codes were $360-460 and I knew I had 2 to get done. I told the lady at the desk I could find a way to manage that but I couldn't swing several thousand... Which is what we're talking now. Even my original bill was told was covered by insurance and I paid nothing the day of. I later received a bill for $822 which when I call United Healthcare they said billing that amount for those services was illegal and they made the office discount the cost down to $363. Insurance said the way they coded they first visit it doesn't count as preventative and they don't cover anything until I meet my high deductible. I told the doctor's office that on my first visit when they insisted it would be covered. I called to inquire about this bill and what the future ones would ACTUALLY look like if I got the procedure done I already scheduled. They lied to me again several times on the phone saying things like my insurance did pay a large portion of it and I'm left with the remainder. My insurance didn't pay you anything or cover any of my costs. They made you lower the price of what you billed because it was illegal. Then they say they have to do my procedure in 6 different visits because "they aren't allowed" to do more than 1 at a time. Sounds like a good way to sneak in 6 bills to someone instead of 1. I can't read between the lines of what's true and what's not anymore with this office. These people aren't straight shooters and will tell you whatever you want to hear to skim as much as they can from you. I really needed that procedure and had a babysitter lined up for it and everything. It's a shame; I don't know what I'm going to do now. Doctor Whitney was good though, both skilled and friendly. The nurse and front desk are also friendly when their lying through their teeth. I lost all respect for this doctor on account of how they operate here.

I don't know who is in charge but they need to be fired! I've had no choice but to come here for my cancer treatment or scans and they continue to mess up my appointment or cancel last minute without informing me till I'm at the facility! I have been coming here for months and only once did they have things ready to go without issues. Today I find out after I arrived at the facility, that they yet again don't have enough medicine. I have had this appointment scheduled for an entire month, with them sending me reminder notifications about said appointment. Only to be told yet again they don't have their stuff together! I have a child I have to find babysitting for. Take time away from work. These people keep costing me money! Do not go here, for the love of God, go somewhere else!
