Texas Oncology in Plano has excellent staff and facilities. Very patient oriented.

My heart is breaking, because of not getting all the side affects of radiation, my brother died, sooner then he need to. They did not share all that can happen by using radiation as a result my brother died four months later after they said he was cancer free it made his heart and his arteries weak and they burst, when he started coughing. I will never do radiation. Why would you put poison in your body with chemo and radiation.

I have nothing but good things to say about Texas Oncology. Dr Colton has been incredible as are the nurses and infusion team. I moved here from Philadelphia and was used to an incredible team at the Abrahamson Cancer Center. I was worried I wouldn’t get the same level of care, but my feats were put to rest.

They have great service and do good working

Bizarre experience at this location. I went for a hematology, not oncology consult. Presumably most of the people going to this office are in a terrible place in their lives and some looked very sick. The tiny little waiting room was packed for an hour straight. They wouldn't let me see the Doc until I had spoken with a financial counsellor in the waiting area (seems this way with all the patients). The wait times were unacceptably long and being met with a "payment first" mentality in Oncology is completely heartless. These patients are not there out of choice or in line to buy a car? Maybe wait until after the appointment in a private area? Two stars for the courtesy shown by the Doc and medical/ front desk staff, but management needs to examine their souls seriously. Go somewhere else if you can.

Would not recommend Texas Oncology to anyone. My doctor puts in an order for chemo 3 weeks out, I try to follow up. They inform me the day before that there are no openings. They've messed up everything they've tried to schedule, from lab work to chemo infusions. In addition to some treatment issues I no longer have confidence in my care here. Mentioning that I went to the Austin/North location seems irrelevant. Because after reading so many bad reviews I conclude that all locations have bad problems.

My PCP sent my referral over July 18th. I am transferring from Rockwall, TX to Round Rock. I have a rare blood cancer and desperately needed a phlebotomy. Texas Oncology Round Rock REFUSES to treat me or even tell me why!!! They just keep saying my transfer is in progress, even though Rockwall says it's done. My hct got SO high my PCP sent me to Carter Blood Care to get get an emergency therapeutic phlebotomy. We are going on TWO months. The call center has no clue. The office manager refuses to return my calls. The Care Coordinator won't call me. They're perfectly happy letting me die the way my sister died from this cancer!!! I have NO other options with my insurance but Texas Oncology. I wanted to transfer to an MPN Specialist because that's the kind of cancer I have. The Oncologist I was with (with Texas Oncology Rockwall) knows nothing about this cancer. The last time I willingly went to see him, in the middle of trying to talk to him, I literally asked if I was boring him. He wasn't even looking at me, let alone trying to pretend to listen to me. But, at least he gave me treatment, even if it was minimal and didn't listen. Now I am stuck in limbo without any options for treatment. When this cancer kills me, I hope my family and friends go after Texas Oncology for refusing to treat me...

Texas Oncology in Midland is wonderful, I highly recommend them.

When my mom was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, we trusted Texas Oncology to guide us through the most difficult fight of her life. Sadly, what we experienced was neglect and a lack of transparency. We later learned that my mom had the KRAS G12C mutation, a critical piece of information that connects directly to targeted therapies and clinical trials. Shockingly, this was never shared with us. Families should not have to do their own research to uncover what their doctors already know. Even worse, despite her visible suffering, her pain was never adequately managed under their care. We pleaded for relief, but her pain control was delayed and inconsistent until hospice intervened. Watching her endure that unnecessary suffering was devastating and inhumane. This is not just about one patient, it is about ethics in cancer care. Patients deserve full honesty about their options. They deserve their pain to be taken seriously. They deserve to be treated with dignity and compassion. I am sharing this because my mom deserved better. No other family should have to experience this kind of neglect. Cancer care must be about more than protocols and numbers, it should be about treating patients like human beings.

Texas Oncology’s hematology department is the most incompetent medical office I’ve ever dealt with. They repeatedly failed to order the correct labs, didn’t get the right medications, ignored my requests, and delayed care for weeks. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted like my health was an inconvenience. Because of their negligence, my surgery had to be canceled — completely avoidable if they’d done their jobs. In my opinion, this place is a risk to patient safety and should be investigated.
